Publisher's summary

A sexy, friends-to-lovers, second-chance romance with a twist by USA Today best-selling author Tia Louise.

To be “just friends” with a guy, you’ve got to follow The Rules:
Don’t touch him unnecessarily.
Don’t share your intimate dreams with him (even if he asks).
Don’t kiss him, and definitely don’t sleep with him.

Scout Dunne and I have been “just friends” since childhood.
He’s everything you could want - sexy, charming, confident - every girl’s wet dream.
Until we broke The Rules.

We broke them in the ocean, in my aunt’s bathroom, in my bed....
It was the hottest week of my life.
I’m one of the few people who knows the first-round NFL draft pick wants more than a life of sports.
Because we’re friends, right?
Not anymore.

Now he’s gone, and I’m trying to get my career back on track.
Mamma said a guy would never put your dreams ahead of his.
But the twist of fate?
It’s something you never see coming.

Twist of Fate is a stand-alone friends-to-lovers, single-parent romance. No cheating. No cliffhanger.

A perfect second chance!! 😍

I just loved this 😍 Scout, who we met in This Much is True, is just so swoony and charming and hot. You just can’t resist him. Which is pretty much how he feels about Daisy, someone who has been in and out of his life since they were kids. They have good times, and great moments, but have different dreams and are headed in different directions. After an amazing week, he heads off to LA to try to be in movies, while she is off to travel and find antiques. But life has a way of throwing curves and changing plans. And when they see each other again, everything changes. And they work their way back to each other. And they are just such a perfect match together ❤️ Loved their story 🥰 And I truly loved listening to Sebastian York as Scout 😍 can listen to him allll the time!! And Samantha Brentmoor as Daisy was perfect. Can’t wait for more!!

Twisted Up and Loving It

This book had me all twisted. These characters had me all twisted. Scout and Daisy need to lose each other to find each other. They gave each other the space to live their dreams but fate interfered. They just needed to catch up to what it had in mind. I loved the cringe moments, the hot moments and the moment they realized their real dream.

Taking Chances Series

Twist of Fate - A Small-Town, Friends-to-Lovers Romance (Taking Chances #2) is entertainingly sweet listen. I enjoyed the writing style and my favourite character was Melody as she stole the show when she appeared. Daisy and Scott were compelling characters who are likeable. A smexy listen.

Sebastian York, Samantha Brentmoor dual narration was everything. They became the characters and brought their story to reality.

I got more invested as the more I listened. A fun listen with awesome narrator's.

Beautiful second chance.

Twist of Fate is a second chance book that totally surprised me. Whenever I read a book by author Tia Louise she always leaves me wanting more. I couldn’t get enough of these characters, Scout, Daisy and little Melody. Such a sweet love story.

Second chance

What a fantastic second chance romance following Scout and Daisy. This book was filled with great quirkiness, feels and just a great telling of this story. I had been curious about Scouts story after reading JR and this did not disappointment. Their story consists of them growling up and finding themselves then each other again despite the obstacles. Their individual journeys were perfectly told and the having their paths cross again was just inevitable.

The narrators did a phenomenal job and I could listen to their voices with the perfect inflections for days.

Amazing small town friends to lovers

This is the story of Scout and Daisy, a small-town romance, friends to lovers. With a chemistry they can't deny. They are both young and they have dreams that make them fall apart, Scout follows his acting career dream but when he goes back he finds himself with more things than he ever thought he will find. The story is beautiful and sweet, although it's one type of story I have read before, so the originality of it takes a star from me. I love Tia Louise books so this one was well written and had all the feelings.

Loved It

When I read, “This Much is True”, I fell in love with the character of Scout. He was kind, funny, and such a gentleman towards people. Yes, he was flirty, but never in a disgusting way. He made people feel liked and special, and although we get bits of his story in the first book, I couldn’t wait for his own book.

This one was heart-wrenching in ways that made you feel so bad for Scout. We know from The previous book that he survive through all his trials, but it’s agonizing to listen about him actually going through his trials. You hurt for him because he is such a good guy.

Just like the other book, you have additional characters that make the story a little more enjoyable with their wittiness. In this one, it’s Daisy and her best friend/cousin,Slye. Also, her dealer friend adds to the fun drama.

I think Sebastian York did a pretty good job, but I’m so used to him voicing characters that are a little bit more harsh. So, I didn’t feel the happy-go-lucky personality that Scout had portrayed in the previous book with Jason Clark voicing him. That is just a minor thing, because he really did do a pretty good job and I laughed a lot. Samantha was excellent as she was in the previous audiobook as well.

I’m hoping we get to hear about Slye’s story. Now, that would make a fun listen.
