A Passionate, Magical Romance!

I love this story because Liam and Princess Abela are willing to do whatever it takes, to risk their lives for each other. It is a story of sacrifice and honour, magic and passion. The love scenes are amazing!

There's a lot of action in the story, treachery, too. Through most of the book, I was either spellbound by the beauty of the love scenes or on the edge of my seat in suspense! As usual, Mary Morgan has woven a magical, romantic, adventure-filled tale. With Legends of the Fenian Warriors and the related series, Order of the Dragon Knights, she has created a world that captures the imagination and thrills the senses.

Narrator Alan Manson has a beautiful voice and nails all the emotions.

Highly, gladly recommended!

Incredible!!! A must have.

Ms. Morgan is an amazing weaver of stories and a most gifted writer. The descriptive details carried me across Ireland throughout this story. In my mind’s eye, I rode horses with them, felt the icy cold of the rivers, felt the earth beneath my feet and saw what the characters saw. Simply brilliant. An incredibly story, a wonderful romance, a must have.

Absolutely Loved It!

I absolutely loved this story. It was totally captivating and I was so excited that Liam and Abela were the hero and heroine in the story. Little did I know that by the end I would have gone through half a box of tissues and have my husband wondering what I was crying about! Lol! There are many characters we get to see from earlier books, which I loved, and some new revelations which were a surprise. I loved everything about this story and will definitely be listening to this one over again. I can’t say enough about how fabulous Alan Manson’s narration was. He does an amazing job with all the voices and emotions in the book. My recommendation is to make sure you take enough time to be able to sit and relax with a box of tissues and your favorite refreshments and enjoy this fabulous book!

Even his warrior sacrifices won't save him-can she

The narration is, as with all of her audios, is a pleasure to listen to the accents and emotions revealed. Both the female and male voices are well done.

Liam and Abela

His sacrifices and duties as a warrior still come with consequences for disobeying their rules. Death? After all he's done and the reason he crossed the line still cost his life? Not if she has anything to do with it.

Their feelings began long ago and reignite when she learns of his trial and likely outcome. Staying hidden and away is not an option. Now he not only has to face his judges but keep her safe as well.

She's strong and insistent with powers he can't fight. Can they find a way to save him for crossing the veil by doing so again? At what price?

The author gives her fans a new story of the courageous men and women and the love they fight for as strong as the battles for their country and king. The characters are unforgettable. Readers have met Liam before as well as many of the other characters we revisit. The story is touching, filled with love, steam, loyalty, and strength. Secrets are revealed and creative negotiations are offered.

Don't miss this or any of the author's audios and books.

One of the best audiobooks I've ever heard!

Summary –

Liam is at peace with his impending death. But there is someone who’s ready to defy all, including the King, to free him. He’s reluctant at first to escape with his rescuer but does so in the hopes of changing Fae law. When he discovers who has risked it all, his heart nearly stops. It’s Princess Abela, the woman who captured his soul long ago, long before he became a Fenian Warrior. They travel the Veil in search of changing history but cannot deny their long-buried feelings anymore. Political allies become enemies but that doesn’t stop Liam. There’s only one being who’ll stop Liam: Abela’s brother. When he finally catches up with Liam, will he thrust his sword through Liam’s chest or will he see the love Liam and Abela share?

Narrator’s overall voice –

Alan Manson’s voice is perfect for this book. His Scottish accent is heavy but not too heavy, allowing the listener to follow along. His timbre is rich and conveys emotion with clarity. I swear, I could listen to him all day.

Does the narrator fit the characters?

Alan Manson fits the characters perfectly. He’s a professional actor and thus adjusts his voice for the various characters, including the heroine, Abela. What I loved most was he brought a different voice for the narrator than for Liam. It makes it easier for the reader to tell when the narrator is speaking and when it’s a character. Well done.

Narrator’s reading style –

Alan Manson reads at an even, steady pace, infusing emotion into his voice when needed. The emotional tension is immense in Trial of a Warrior and Alan amplifies the emotion so that the reader/listener is caught up in the story. Make sure you have tissues because you’ll need them.

Narrator’s impact on reading experience –

Honestly, Alan Manson makes this one of the best audiobooks I’ve ever read. It could be the marvelous writing of Mary Morgan but truly, Alan’s voice brings the story to life. If you love Scottish and Fae romance, you need to listen to Alan’s rendition of Trial of a Warrior.

Narrator’s pacing –

Alan Manson’s professional style when it comes to pacing is evident. I could close my eyes and envision every scene, every kiss, every caress.

Audiobook flow –

The flow of the Trial of a Warrior audiobook is consistent with the book which is impressive. Well done, Alan Manson.

What makes this audiobook unique –

With Alan Manson’s mastery of accents, this audiobook is unlike anything I’ve listened to before. Mary Morgan teaming up with Alan Manson is a feast for the senses.

Would I recommend this audiobook –

If you’re a fan of Mary Morgan’s books or Scottish fantasy romance, you need to listen to this audiobook today. Escape to faraway lands and a romance that can’t be denied with Trial of a Warrior.
