Identical and brutal assaults on three women. One woman survives to give a detailed description of her attacker.

The police arrest a suspect, Damon Morton, confident he is their man. But three of his employees admit to the crimes, and Morton's wife and girlfriend provide him with an alibi.

Very upsetting

I'm usually able to realise police procedural are fiction .This drew me into much and I found it too upsetting. Despite this I couldn't. put it down . I just had to give it five stars because of the fascinating plot and characters Lynda Lapland is fantastic. Kind of afraid to read next book in series but of course I must I skipped first book because it dealt with child murder.

Good Story

Enjoyable listen, albeit somewhat dated. It has good character and plot development that positions it as a solid British mystery/police procedural.

Very enjoyable series

One of my new favorite authors. Very well written and the narration, I feel, is fantastic.

Great story .. gritty

Really enjoyed this one. Quite gritty, one of those stories that the killer is divulged midway but the tension is still there. I'll be buying part III

Hung up

I like these books pretty well but why are so many British writers hung up on crimes involving sexual violence against women and children?
