Publisher's summary

Navy SEAL Ned Silver is lured to the Florida gulf coast by the friend of his fathers, a former Navy diver now turned treasure hunter. Between deployments, S.O. Silver is addicted to adventure, and searching for pirate booty is right up his alley. What he hasn’t counted on is that his net has also captured a local mermaid.

Madison Montgomery has done freelance underwater modeling and film work, but she’s also an experienced scuba diver. Between jobs, she tends a salty beach bar catering to whatever the sea blows in. She’s unprepared when her heart is hooked on the muscled beach bum she’s hired to work with on a treasure dive.

As their underwater love affair smolders like a hyperbaric welding torch, the pair will have to discover who is captain and who is captured.

Ned Finds His Mermaid!

Ned Silver is coming off a Seal mission and decides to visit an old friend of his father and assist in a treasure hunt in the Gulf of Mexico. He meets the lovely Madison, another of the treasure hunting divers. He soon discovers the draw of the Gulf Coast of Florida. Ned find treasure, some personal history, pirates and even the charms of a lovely mermaid who lives on the land but frolics in the water. Not your normal Seal story, but a fun read that would be great for the beach!
J.D. Hart narrates this book and does a fabulous job. His smooth voice makes it extremely easy to listen to. Loved it!

Ned and Madison!

The death of Ned’s father has him feeling unsettled and wanting to know more about the man and his past so when he is invited to Florida to participate in a dive searching for treasure by his father’s best friend he is hoping that this will give him the closure he needs.

Madison is not only a waitress, but she is one of the scuba divers that is part of the team that Ned is joining. They have an immediate connection and chemistry but between the danger they find themselves in, the secrets of the past and their very different lives will they ever be able to have more than this time together in Florida? I really enjoyed the pacing and flow of the narration.

Mermaids, treasure hunts, mystery & adventure

This is a story about lost relationships, regrets, adventure, and fateful futures. I think this has been my favorite book in this series so far. I could not stop listening to this book, and JD Hart knocked it out of the park with his narrations.
Ned, a Navy SEAL, is back in California after losing his father. He never really felt that his relationship with his father was a close one. While spending time with his mother and his father’s best friend, Ned finds himself learning details about his father that he never could have imagined.

Madison, a local waitress, crosses paths with Ned when is invited by his father’s best friend to go on a treasure dive in Florida. Madison is also an experienced scuba diver who is part of the treasure hunt that would change all of their lives. One of the items that Ned’s father did give him was a mermaid pendant. Ned was always curious about the story behind the pendant. Ned accepted the invitation, not knowing that he would encounter a woman who would capture his interest and his heart.

This story was full of adventure, excitement, and history. I found myself constantly on edge about what was going to happen to each character and was surprised by the ending of the story. I would absolutely recommend this story to anyone who likes adventure, romance, spice and mystery.

I was gifted this audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

Treasure Island SEAL

I thought the story got off to a bit of a slow start for me. I found myself drifting a bit, trying to guess where things were headed instead of enjoying the moment. Once Ned got to Florida, things definitely picked up.

Sharon Hamilton does an admirable job of creating strong, likable characters. I’m looking forward to her next book.

JD Hart’s voice is well suited to the role. His voice definitely conjures the image of a Navy Seal.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Sexy Seal Intrigue

You can't miss with a book by Sharon Hamilton. I absolutely love her SEAL inspired stories. I've been reading her books for quite awhile and love how some of her cast of characters show up. They all end up being tied together in some form or fashion. This one is a sexy romp with a little intrigue.

Hot & romantic SEAL-what a perfect combination!

Very enjoyable romance. Well developed,, likable characters. Interesting story line.. It was well suited to have a male narrator for this book. I love his voice.

Who Is the Mermaid?

This book is the perfect example of how complicated families can be, and how after a death secrets can come out. Ned and Madison unwind a tale of loves through two generations and finding out maybe they'd been destined to be together due to a complex series of events involving their mothers and his father before either was born.
I love a happy ending, but even happy endings can be awkward. The last couple of minutes made me crack up.
This is totally worth the read/listen, and I'm going to enjoy the next book too, I'm sure.

A highly enjoyable listen

I admit that I really enjoy Sharon Hamilton’s books as a whole & this book did not disappoint! Although I wasn’t so sure at first.

The story began a little slowly & had a bit of a philosophical tone, but still interesting enough to hold my interest. But then the story picked up the pace & got very interesting. In addition to the romance & intrigue, there was buried treasure, danger, betrayal & a secondary storyline. The characters were well developed. The romance scenes were just perfect. But what really made the story seem so real was the issues that the characters were dealing with in the midst of the story: grief, loss, mixed emotions related to loss & even dementia.

All in all, another awesome story, very relatable & enjoyable with excellent character development. This book has just the right amount of intrigue & spice along with another subplot & a little twist at the end.

And then there’s the narrator, JD Hart was fabulous with the voices & inflections. A highly enjoyable listen. Now I need to go back to listen to books 1 & 2 in the series!!

I was entrusted a copy of this audible book on the condition that I write an honest review. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
