A really useful resource
I thought firstly the narrator was great, very easy to listen to.
This book was very thorough with practical steps as well as lots of variety of information, allowing more choice moving forward. Each chapter considered really interesting topics. I loved how it discussed the changes in the body after 50 as well as how to actually organise your day to create results that work for your lifestyle.

Not a diet but a lifestyle
I have found that as I get older, my body definitely reacts differently to the food I eat as well as how I thought I could lose weight. The methods I used in my 30s are certainly not working now. Understanding that as we get older our body goes through many changes and we have to adhere to those changes in order to get the results we desire. I am premenopausal so understanding how that also affects my body was very enlightening in this book. What I like the most about the book is this is not a diet fad but instead, learning how to move to intermittent fasting and making that our new lifestyle. Chapter 7 reviews this in-depth and teaches you how to organize your day to incorporate intermittent fasting and how to make fasting a sustainable part of life.
The book is not just about weight loss though. The author goes into detail about the benefits of intermittent fasting including cell regeneration and building up insulin resistance. The author also does not promise that intermittent fasting will be your end all, be all so you are taught how to add in some exercise but the exercise that will best suite you. I also like that the author makes sure that readers understand the importance of learning why we may have an unhealthy relationship with food because if we do not start to resolve this issue, then regardless of what we do to change our habits, there is always a risk of going back to old ways unless we resolve why we overeat or eat in an unhealthy manner.
