Publisher's summary

Ben, an engineer, was sitting in Our Bar when he heard the horrific news of the train crash. He ran out of the bar, with his best friend Mark following him, and learns that his girlfriend, Christy, is permanently blinded by the explosion from the crash. He vows to take care of her, but Christy doesn't want him to. She sinks into a depression, and ends up taking her life.

Earlier that same day, Ben discovered a new surgery to restore eyesight. He rushes home to tell Christy, only to find her dead by overdose of sleeping pills. Ben becomes obsessed with his love for trains, uses another engineer for her knowledge of the inner workings of them, and then orchestrates another train crash, leaving all but himself accounted for. Amidst the investigation, a detective begins to realize the shocking truth, that his best friend Ben is indeed the culprit, and ends up pulling the lever when Ben is electrocuted.

Awesome Thriller!!!! Great book, great narration!

Where does Train Wreck rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

"Train Wreck: It Wasn't An Accident, An Engineer's Revenge" is one of my favorite books released so far this year! The story, while a Thriller, is extremely emotional at times and the reader pulls you into the mind of a man and woman in despair. There are some humorous moments, but Blair London gives us such a deep look into the psyche of a disturbed woman and her lover. It's sad, but very funny at times... they ending is amazing!

Who was your favorite character and why?

By far, Spike, the bartender was my favorite! He could tell one funny story after another!
Ben and Christy, the lead characters have had their share of horrendous problems. They are likeable, especially Ben, but Spike is the character that was really down to earth, caring and hilarious!

Have you listened to any of Lauren Holladay’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, I have listened to Lauren Holladay. She's quickly becoming one of my favorite narrators. I highly recommend her! She seems like she actually takes on the character and you can hear the heartache in her voice. And, it's silky smooth.. I just love her.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely! If you've got about 6 hours to spare, go for it! It's well worth it!!!

Any additional comments?

Get this book. Blair London is going to be a superstar! I can see a movie coming from this!
I read a review by the actor Matthew McConaughey who said of Blair London's books, that he would love to be the lead character if one of her books are made into a movie. He enjoys her writing that much. Megyn Kelly, formerly of Fox News and other well known celebrities give her glowing reviews!

Loved it, the ending will blow you away!

This is the first book I've listened to written by Blair London and it won't be the last. She is such a talented author. I'm glad she chose this narrator for this book.

Ms.. Holladay does a beautiful job telling a very sad story, with sincerity and pathos. It sounded like she was actually shedding tears as the character Christy was shedding tears.
The character and the reader seemed to become ONE!

When I say a "sad story', don't get me wrong, it's a thriller, but there are moments that are gripping and Ms. Holladay pulls it off beautifully.
There are also really funny moments. Spike the bartender had me in hysterics telling the story of his dog.
It's a well rounded book with an ending that just blew my mind.

It's well worth the money or the credit. Both writer and reader are amazing.
