I like the fact this one showcased someone on the spectrum, cancer survivors and perseverance.

My series favorite

Cole and Shawnee both struggle with health issues and traumatic events in their childhood. Yet they are an unlikely couple. Cole copes through order and routine. Shawnee has a live life to the fullest attitude. They dislike each other. Well, Shawnee enjoys annoying Cole. The story of how they fall in love and find their hea is pure gold. I've read this book twice and the audio version does it justice.

Really loved this one

My 20yr old son has Asperger's... so to have Cole as the leading man❤️❤️❤️. It was a very accurate portrayal of how so many go on to lead normal lives. And that there will be that special someone some day to love you completely- quirks and all. I loved their story.

Tougher in Texas

This book by Kari Lynn Dell was a mind blower! The love story was one that touched your heart. The touchy subject of autism was handled with respect and knowledge on the subject. Thank you!

Another great book by Kari Lynn Dell!

What a great and unique story about a cowboy with autism and the cowgirl who matches him perfectly although no one probably saw it coming. Cole Jacobs is cautious and always has a list. Who knew that would make him the perfect match for Shawnee who is wild but craves structure in her life. The book has great humor and as always Dell weaves the rodeo life into the story in the most authentic portrayal of cowboys and cowgirls you’ll find in the romance novel industry. Can’t wait for the next one. This is the third in the series.

Great Rodeo Story

What did you love best about Tougher in Texas?

Another great book by Kari Lynn Dell. Since she lives the life, she knows her subject well and brings her reader's along for the ride.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Shawnee, for all her toughness in a mans world.
Cole for dealing with his issues but stepping out side of his comfort zone eventually.

Which character – as performed by Johanna Parker – was your favorite?

All of them. Johanna Parker does a great job narrating and bringing each character to life.

Love this book!

As a rodeo girl I love the reality of this book and all the trials of life that a covered throughout. Excellent read ❤️

this by far was my favorite book out of this series I loved loved it.

Great story but…

Loved the story. Characters were great. However, the narration is not good. I almost abandoned the book multiple times. It’s the way it is read ( speed, pausing, fluctuations etc and the “Texas” accent. Maybe I am overly sensitive because I am a born and raised Texan, but this is not even close and very difficult to listen to. It sounds like a very deliberate and bad imitation of a southern accent. This listen could be over the top great with a change of narration.
