Cam'ron epitomizes the grimy streets of Newark. He's a supreme hustler with a vicious murder game. Cam'ron loves four things: his money, family, his homie, and his boo. Tamika, who is Cam'ron's boo, makes shit hotter when she sets out to show him that he's not the only hustler checkin' for her, and she does not have to condone his womanizing. When Tamika gets with a hustler who refuses to let her go back to Cam'ron, the consequences get catastrophic for somebody.

Meanwhile, Raheem, who is the polar opposite from his man, is quietly putting his G down in the dirty south. When ATL thugs test Raheem's gun they find out that a quiet storm is the deadliest. Raheem is as gentle with his woman as he is proficient with his murder game.

Kayundra, Raheem's shorty, has fallen into drug addiction, and it has her in a vise grip. Raheem's love for Kayundra never wavers. He helps her beat her addiction, and soon she's refocused on her dream of becoming an R and B diva. With Raheem's help Kayundra lands a recording deal, and almost overnight she becomes a star. But success comes at a price that threatens to shatter their love.

Raheem and Cam'ron go hard for what they want, and they attain it, leaving a lot of bodies along the way. They make many mothers bury their sons and shed tears, but on the road to hood fame and riches they learn that sometimes the enemy strikes back and it's your turn to cry. When the blood and tears stop falling will what Cam'ron and Raheem gained be worth what they both lose?

It was very good the male voice sounds nice.

They story was good from start to finish. Can't wait to read part too. 👍

Try again you’ll get there you have to feel it if you want the reader to enjoy.

Suprised

I took a chance and I am definitely enthralled. The characters are well written all kinds of plots, twists and turns. This is a must get if you love ❤ street and hood drama.

Thugs

Well the book was good until the end. Which was stupid. I hated what happened to Tamicka mother and friend Danielle. I thought the end was just horrible. I am not sure if I will do the second book.

Highly recommend this streetlit classic. The audio production is on point and the pace is exceptional

I Love Audible Books

Well as you know I read the book already but listening to it was the bomb. I got to listen to it while at work. Cj and Rah is my boys ...Cj did get bigheaded but he did what he had to do and Tamika should have known how it was gonna play out once he got known in the streets but when she started to creep with Nard she should have Known how that was gonna end. I'm ready to listen to Part 2... Very good read Cash. I Thank You For The Book and 10 Stars it is.

Very entertaining

Listening to the narrator reminded me of how the inmates would read fiction novels like this one out loud when they are in thier single cells at night after lights out. It would keep that area of the dorm quiet because everyone within earshot wanted to hear the story. (I've worked in a prison/jail setting for 18 years).I was very annoyed with the self esteem issues of ALL of the main female characters and narrator had a very southern accent even though novel is based out of New Jersey. Other than that, this was a good street novel, but that ENDING tho!!!! Really, Ca$h??!!...im so ready for part 2!

Never get too big for your britches!!!

“Thugs Cry” book 1 is the shit. I feel that “Ca$h”, the author really delivers on this one. I love how this young black man got so hood rich and famous. I love that his girl Tameka was down for him when he started at the bottom. It was so sweet how they loved eachother.It was so cute how she would get crunk on him when he acted up. I did not care for CJ when he let the money go to his head. He never was the type to play games with people in the streets. I was so hurt when Tameka and CJ’s little sister was murdered. It made me cry. I love cash but I hate that book 3 is not out yet on audible. I hope Ca$h gets this done fast, quick, and in a hurry. I recommend reading this book.
