Great great book

So, it is currently 3AM and i have a toddler and a baby to feed in about 2 hours... this book was worth it. I loved the magic, the romance, the writing was captivating and i never felt like i wanted to skip a chapter. Anyway, can't wait for the next. I am hoping the story is not stretched into too many books (I think more than 3 books of any story is way too many). The characters are not overly dumb, petty or jerks. They are the exact amount to make them believable. Disappointed this is the only book on here from the author. <3

Solid upper YA book. loved the Italian roots and magic system. im a sucker for a bodyguard trope as well and I enjoyed this one! love the romance and their build up. my only complaint is the length of the book with what we are given. I feel like it dragged alot and it either needed added action, or simply to be shorter. overall very good!

This Book!!

I was pleasantly surprised by this story.

Alessa’s growth i the story was believable and well written. The side characters had just enough background to care about and make them interesting.

And Dante. Oh Dante. I can’t wait for the next book to learn more about him.

The voice actors are well suited to the book, and it was easy to listen to. I enjoyed it very much.

A YA fantasy that will take you somewhere else. Between the forbidden romance, secret murderers, and new friendships, it’s enough to make you want to fight along with them in the battle against the demon lord!!!

Why are we not talking about this book ?! It is soooooo good ! Really enjoyed the narration, and the story is fantastic ! Loved every bit of it !

Needs a prologue desperately

I like this story a lot and there was a lot of fresh and unique material. The random Italian phrases added nothing to the story since none of the scenery or environment or background, have any Italian vibe to it. What was the point?
I felt like this story desperately needed a prologue, you understand nothing about the background of why these events are happening or what their purpose is or how they have unfolded throughout history. I will definitely be back

Amazing story! Cannot wait for the next one. No way this is the end. Can we please fast forward time until then?! 😄

So Good. one of the best books I've read

it starts off a little slow with the building of this world of magical powers and the one chosen to save them all except she keeps killing her partners by touch.

It has it all.. fantasy, action, betrayal and romance.

One of my Favorite YA Books of the Year

The narration was wonderful. I thought the story was fantastic. I loved the banter, the tension and the oh so slow burn romance. The magic was really interesting as was the world. Cannot wait for the next book. There has to be one right?!

great plot, character development, word building

one of the best stories I've ever read. err, listened to. the pace was solid, nothing felt rushed or overdone. I cared about every character and I cried at *that part*. I can't wait for the sequel to be an audiobook; my adhd brain makes it near impossible to read a book but I can listen all day.
