Publisher's summary

Everything is familiar. But everything has changed.

Coming back to the little community is like walking into a nightmare for Jim Gardener, poet, drunk, potential suicide.

It all looks the same: the house; the furniture; Jim's friend, Bobbi; her beagle (though ageing); even the woods out at the back. But it was in the woods that Bobbi stumbled over the odd, part-buried object and felt a peculiar tingle as she brushed the soft earth away.

Everything is familiar. But everything is about to change.

A little editing and this would be brilliant

Suffice it to say, for my part, Mr. King can do no wrong. Wonderful storyteller that he is, I thoroughly enjoy everything that he pens and deigns to share with us mere mortals. As a novel, this gets long winded at points. But, it is so well written, you forgive it. But I would agree, that a serious edit would do the novel a world of good. Although, even after two plus decades, I have still enjoyed this tale tremendously.
