The Swiss Family Robinson is an adventure novel co-authored by Johann David Wyss and Johann Rudolf Wyss. It has a plot that exemplifies family ideals and the use of the natural world to achieve self-reliance. The story begins with the family in the hold of a sailing ship, riding out a huge storm. Audio book leaves much to be desired

The narrator has a nice voice but he doesn't seem comfortable with the older style of English in which the story is written. Also, at the end of each chapter he says "end of chapter __" then at the beginning of the next chapter he repeats the title and author and also says which chapter it is. This really interrupts the flow of the book.
