My go to reset series A+++

This is my go to reset series. When I find myself lack luster in the epics it’s always fun to come back to these and just reset.

excellent story

I love it! The story gives you just enough information for a cliffhanger. Very well written! Copy and pasted because I can't just leave a 5-star review

Excellent conclusion, can't wait for the next one.

Loved it. John Flanagan has a way with adding suspense and humor to every story. The sword play, arrow shooting and sling throwing were right on target, you know Rangers practice until they don't get it wrong.

One of my son's favorite series.

My son has been enamored with the series since reading the first book and reading or listening to the rest. He was thrilled to learn there were more but still sadly disappointed that the rumors of a movie did not come to fruition.

Thank you though for providing clean enjoyable entertainment for my family.

Narrator is good as always, but the plot was weak

It’s fine. That’s really all I can say. There was no real plot. No real anxiety of how the characters will escape. Maddie gets hardly any real character development or “main character” moments. It felt flat, like Flannigan really wanted to be writing about Will and Horace more than Maddie. I hope in future books he gives her more agency.

Pretty good book

Overall, I did enjoy this book. I wish I could give 4.5 stars instead of 4 or 5 because I don’t believe it truly deserves either. The story was generally appealing, though like many books, had some slow parts. And unfortunately, those slower parts nearly put me to sleep… the ending is decent, though I felt like the story dragged in places, particularly at the ending and then the book came to a close rather abruptly. Overall, I love John Flanagan’s books and would recommend them to almost anyone

Needs an ending

I loved all the Ranger books but we need a better ending. We would love to know what Maddies future is or what her next adventure is, something to make us want more.
