Publisher's summary

In this latest installment of The New York Times best-selling quartet that began with The Beautiful, Pippa journeys to the treacherous and beguiling world of the fey in search of answers but instead falls in love.

Following the explosive events of The Damned, Odette faces a vampire’s final death. The Court of the Lions have done everything they can to save her but have failed. A healer from the Sylvan Vale could help her, but only Arjun Desai, as a half fey, can cross the boundary between realms. The Sylvan Vale is a world Arjun despises, and in return, it despises him. But knowing it could save Odette, he returns to the Vale with all haste, leaving the mirrored tare between the two worlds open and unwittingly setting the stage for both love and war.

It’s mere days until Pippa Montrose is to wed Phoebus Devereux and become a member of his well-heeled family, offering salvation to her own. But Celine is missing. Pippa has no idea where her best friend has gone, but she’s certain it’s in the company of vampire Sébastien Saint Germain and that Arjun can lead her to them. Pippa enjoins the help of Eloise, the daughter of a powerful sorceress, to discover the gateway Arjun uses to travel between worlds. Pippa, tired of hesitating in life, marches right through in search of her friend. But what she discovers on the other side is a dangerous, duplicitous world full of mischief and magic she doesn’t understand, and most unexpectedly, she finds love.

Author of the New York Times best-selling duology The Wrath & The Dawn, Renée Ahdieh is back. The Righteous is the can’t-miss lead in to what will be a much-anticipated finale of a can't miss quartet.

PEELING BACK MORE LAYERS OF THE ONION

Short review : great book, furthers the story as a whole. This one reallly peels back the proverbial onion on people / places / events we only got glimpses of in the original two books.

But there was enough back story laid in the first two books to really give the whole thing a nice pace, & with good character development.

The voice of the narrator in this one…she’s good but she over acts sometimes? Her accents are a little much at times. BUT I will say though, I would rather an over-exaggerator over monotone any day of the week.

Amazing story and great audiobook!

I haven’t wrote a review in some time but not doing one for this book just felt wrong. The other books in the series has been good but this one was just absolutely great. The way P & A’ story was build with such care and consideration was just stunning. It conveyed so many emotions, it was funny, stressful, joyful, inspiring, strong, again too many for one book. The narration transport you right there, such great performance! It left me in pain knowing I have to wait for the next book and just wondering what it might bring! Beautiful writing from one of my favorite authors. Again, just loved it!

Amazing

This book was well written and well performed. The passion in the performance of this was better than the first to I have to say, you could feel the emotions without it being overdone. The character development between certain individuals made it an incredible listen. Two specific people definitely stole the spotlight for me and they are now for sure, my favorite characters. Can’t wait for book No. 4!!!

Good plot

Overall a good book, the reader does a fantastic job. It’s a good plot, though it can be confusing and a bit overwhelming with the multiple plots for the characters. The jumping around can make some parts hard to follow.

Can’t Wait For The Next Book - includes a spoiler

I think each book gets better. The plot keeps developing and there are great twists and turns. It’s very creative and the love stories are fun with great charisma between the characters. Spoiler … the not so good is that we are left hanging as to what our favorite most colorful female vamp’s storyline will be. I wish I had the next book to lazily enjoy over the Christmas holiday.

This book is amazing

Although the book is more reflective of Pippa, it is amazing and ties into the story perfectly. I strongly recommend reading this beautiful love story that ends on a cliffhanger. Can’t wait for the next book!
