Great story and narration

Love the story, Shane East brings everything to life! Colt is such a great character.

One wild ride!

When Adam first meets Olivia, she cannot stand him. She's tough, like he is and doesn't take any crap from him. Always pushing back. He is very determined to make her his and is not shy about letting everyone know it. Even if it makes her angry. When they do finally get together, it's like fireworks!
I read this and enjoyed it so much that when the audiobook dropped, I had to have it. Faye Adele and Shane East were so damn good in this. Shane REALLY makes you feel Adam's fury at one point. I hope to hear them in the next book!

STEAMING HOT!!!

Not only is the story intense and over the top HOT… but Shane East narrating makes me salivate. I love his deep voice and accent. I’m going to end up with an audio book hangover - missing his voice in my ear when I’m don’t with these books. I’m really hoping Nikki gets both Shane and Faye to narrate The Joker as well!!!

I loved Adam and his stalker ways. At least he can say he’s dedicated and doesn’t give up! Olivia was the perfect girl for him. Strong willed with the perfect amount of sass to keep Adam on his toes!

I’m looking forward to listening to The Reaper next. Devon intrigues me and I need more. This is an amazing start to a spectacular series!

A battle of wills....

At first, I wasn't feeling this listen, but as the story unfolded, it redeemed itself. Adam sees Olivia and he sees his match. She is the one. He knows it, but she doesn't. Stalker stories generally make me cringe, but this one was a bit milder than what I'm used to. Don't get me wrong, Adam is a true Alpha stalker, but because Olivia was such an Alpha Female, it balanced well. Some of the reviews said the characters lacked chemistry. I beg to differ. As a blogger turned author, I've known for a long time that for certain books, you have to read beyond the surface and put yourself in the story. Once she said yes, the chemistry took flight and stayed on a plain that soared over and over again. She was the beauty to his beast and he loved being tamed by her. This was a battle of wills. A man who goes after what he wants and a woman who makes him work for it. There were moments that Olivia worked my nerves, but I love that. I love when a book makes me feel different emotions...even annoyance. I do hope the next book in this standalone series comes to Audible. The narrators were amazing and brought these characters to life. Overall great read/listen.

Loved it!

This book had me from the first word. The accents were wonderful hard to understand at times. Enjoyed the comedy, suspense, spicy scenes, and the admiration the characters had for each other.

I liked it

I listened to this pretty much straight through. The only thing I was disappointed with is that someone didn't get what they deserved and someone didn't get any credit for saving a life. Other than that it was great and definitely worth a credit.

super cute

I always start with narration... and this did not disappoint. Both narrators did a great job!

the story itself... it's billed as dark but it's not that dark IMO. It's a cute story about obsession at first sight. And though he does stalk her, he doesn't force anything. All in all it's a super cute story and well written... enough that I'll definitely be going for the next book!

Loooovvvveee this book!

I am so in love with Adam! He can stalk me any time he wants lol. And Liv is a BAD A$$ heroine!!! She takes no sh%t from him or anyone and she stands her ground. Thanks Nikki for writing a heroine like this. She isn’t a door mat and she speaks her mind. Love her!!! They are perfect for each other! Love this couple!!! And even though it’s slow burn, when the spice drops it’s 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!!!

Connection was Tough

I really struggled to connect with the characters in this book, and more importantly, believe their connection with each other. I liked the story ok, but found myself saying “but why?” a lot. I did enjoy that Liv had a serious backbone.
