The man from orange

Intelligence and counter-terrorist expert J. T. Patten uncovers the ultra-top-secret war against terror in his explosive black-ops series....

No mission is impossible

Drake Woolf is the perfect throwaway agent - a deadly, invisible force able to handle the blackest of black-ops missions. No one's better when it comes to search and destroy. But his lethal drive feeds a relentless hunger. It's all his handlers at Task Force Orange can do to point him at the right targets.

This time, he's up against a massive, global conspiracy. In his deadly crosshairs are a Venezuelan terrorist, hordes of elite Iranian assassins, and a beautiful and wily FBI counterintelligence agent. Drake's aim is flawless, but his judgments are all over the place. If he doesn't get it right this time, it will be Hell on Earth.

A Waste of Time

After listening to the first book in this series, I had hoped that this book would be better. It was not. The main character is not like able nor interesting. The story is thin as was the first book. The performance was ok, but not memorable. It was a struggle getting the book and the performance. I just can’t recommend this book.

Well Written, excellent storyline. Great transition for Sean Haven. Like in the direction for Drake Wolfe.

Crazy Ride Of A Story

I love Flynn, Thor, And Patterson.
Patten writes a story that I can understand from the saving others at the cost of self, also the mental health issues of the protagonist almost hurt because I loved someone with the same issues.
In conclusion I must say I have never laughed so hard in my life. I know that this is not meant to be a comedy but the colorful language and the overall interaction of the characters released a bit of the overall terror to be experienced in the story.

I thought the narrator was pretty awesome. There are many voices in this one man.

Narrated by Steve Marvel ?

Great storyline but the narrator made it difficult to listen. Too monotonous and no deflection of tone rather having a general conversation or an action scene.

Where to start?

Not sure were there the issue falls; bad narrative or bad story teller. This books I got as a 2nd chance for the writer; however, it fell flat. I found the characters underdeveloped, lacking charisma, and ability to hold my attention. For a thriller novel, I was more sunken in my chair falling asleep, than at the edge of my chair.

Hard to follow and didn't feel well thought-out

This was my first J.T. Patten book and maybe if I'd listened to Book 1 of the series this would have been better. I didn't feel like the characters were developed well and like maybe I missed the first 2 hours of the book where character development happened. I got kind of lost at times as the author jumped from scene to scene. I'm not sure I understand why the central character was narrated in what sounded like a female voice. The hero was supposedly this total tough guy, but when his voice was narrated, I kept thinking it was a female talking. That was a real mismatch.
