Good old nutcracker story

It’s good old nutcracker but I must say that we have other very good adaptations. The original story was not like how I imagined it but still strong story.
The story was not for everyone cause all of it felt like a dream that a child would have.
The audiobook was awesome different voices and well read.

Love the nutcracker

I have read this and the retelling by Alexandre Dumas both are very similar (obviously)
. Either one is enjoyable.

Background music is distracting, and voice difficult to listen to

The entire audiobook has Tchaikovsky’s music playing in the background, but the songs do not match up to the plot. For example, the serious battle will have upbeat music from waltz of the flowers. It was very distracting and difficult to pay attention to the plot.
