Publisher's summary

Seven Grigori enforcers have been murdered, lured to their death by a demon, and bearing the faint energy signature of a Fallen archangel no one has seen in over two million years. As the Iblis, it's Sam's responsibility to find the Ancient responsible and bring him to justice, but how can she manage that when she can't even keep her adopted infant angel from repeatedly killing his corporeal form?

She's determined to prove herself worthy of the Iblis title, but when the killer claims to be Samael, and an army of demons along with the most powerful Ancients in Hel flock to his side, what's an imp to do?

The fate of the human world and the entire angelic host rests in her hands. Can Sam get control of Hel, and more importantly, can she face down the Fallen archangel whose shoes she's struggling to fill?

No spoilers

This series was so good. Lots of laughs too. I just don't understand how MS Dunbar can end this series i feel she could easily get a few more books. I've tried the templar series haven't finished yet I keep wanting to read/ listen to more of sam and all the characters. As far as the narrator MS Rysk she was A number one great story teller and gave each character a unique voice she really brought the books to life. highly recommend audio in this series.

I'm left wanting More

The Morning Star is the last book in the Imp Series.
It's action packed from beginning to end. I laughed out loud and cried a little while listening to this book.
Angela Rysk is Sam. Her voice is perfect.

Wonderful Narrator

The narrator did a great job with the voice of Sam. Sorry to see the series end.

great ending, sad to see it over

being the end of the series, things were cleared up and taken care of. there was room left to discover new things. I am sad this series is over, but loved every single book in it. glad it ended on a high instead of a struggle to push one more book out.

Wow.

The Imp series is going down in history as one of my all-time favorites. Moreover, Dunbar knows when to give the series a satisfying ending while the books are still good.
Endlessly funny, irreverent, occasionally heartfelt, but always awesome, Dunbar’s Imp series will leave you laughing out loud and cheering on an unlikely but lovable heroine. Three cheers for Sam.

4.5 Stars

The Morning Star is full book 10 of the Imp series. I waited a really long time to read this book because I wasn't ready to see this series end. I have grown to love Sam and Gregory and all of the characters we have met along the way. When I finally decided it was time and that I couldn't wait any longer to find out how the series ends, I clicked into the series on GR and noticed that there is now a 10.5 that is out and a book 11 to be released soon. So now, I don't really know what is happening with the series next.

I really enjoyed this book. Sam came into her own as the Iblis and ruler of Hel. I enjoyed seeing how everything was wrapped up with the ongoing battles and fight for earth. It was great seeing Sam and Gregory as parents and their angel baby, Lux, was great. I think he is going to be quite formidable as an adult angel.

It would have been nice to have more of a wrap up for the side characters but perhaps that is why there is a book 11 now. I guess time will tell.

As far as the narration goes, the same narrator has read the entire series. I'm not overly fond of her voices but I find that I usually get used to her and am able to enjoy the story.
