Publisher's summary

The ancient prophets said he would come. And for centuries the people watched, waited and hoped. He was to be the redeemer of Israel. The all-powerful King of Kings who would finally and decisively deliver the nation from the iron fist of Rome.

Joseph of Arimathea is a wealthy man, but wealth can't buy peace. Nor the affection of the wife he loves. Nicodemus is a leader of Israel who will stop at nothing to find truth. Sadducee and Pharisee - two men, worlds apart, thrown together at the most critical moment in the history of the world.

Set against the spectacle and grandeur of ancient Israel and the brutal violence of the Roman Empire, here is a tale not to be missed. Step into The List and experience the Christ story as you never have before.

Great!

Awesome book. The narrator isn’t the worst, but he uses the same voice for some different characters. He mistakenly uses the wrong voice for certain characters and it’s hard to follow who is talking.

The Fulfillment of OT Prophecy

Regardless of your religious persuasion, the is a fun, page turner, and exciting trip through Old Testament prophecy of the coming and physical presence of “God’s Mystery & ultimate solution for eternity with Him, unconditionally through Christ Jesus. The narrative voice characters really make this so easy and enjoyable to absorb. You’ll be blessed by reading it.

More than impressed!

Brings that era to life, enlightening in so many ways. Most impressive is that just considering SOME of the Biblical prophecies about Jesus goes far beyond coincidence. Enjoy a very good book that seems to try and velcro you to it, and challenge yourself if you are not already convinced that Jesus Christ is who He says He is! Many will say that Jesus was a good prophet. However in Biblical manuscripts He claims to be the Son of God. If He is not who He claims to be then He is a liar! Can that realistically equate with a good prophet? Ponder what this book puts before you for there is nothing so intense as eternal regret. Either one is aligned with truth or one is on a collision course with it!! Take care!

More then I expected

My motive for buying it was to support the authors whom I read in other venues. But once I started listening, I was struck by how they wove actual Biblical verses into a fictional story of two Sanhedrin, one a Pharisee and another a Sadducee, who are ideologically opposed, as they explored the Tanakh for prophecies about the Christ while they watched him perform miracles and preach. You get to listen to the analytical arguments each makes for their side as they develop. My biggest take-away was realizing how it was possible for Jews at the time to not recognize the Messiah, being distracted by the traditions he broke. Through the story you'll see just how much was at stake for people to openly admit that Jesus was the Messiah. And as I listened, I confess that put into that situation, I have some serious doubts as to whether or not I would have been strong enough to break the status quo. Please listen and draw your own conclusions.
