Loved it!

The story grabbed my attention and kept me engaged throughout the book. The narrator did a fantastic job bringing out this story. The only issue I had was at the end when the heroine doesn't know when to stop and caused a lot of unnecessary deaths/problems. It stressed me out so much I wanted to take away a star in the review. But after I finished and thought about it I wanted to keep my 5 star rating because the storyline was very interesting throughout the book. Can't wait to see what happens next in this series.

Amazing read

The Legacy, my fourth read/listen from author Melissa Delport (Lissa Del) & the first book in a series was absolutely excellent! There's something about a story with characters trying to survive in a cataclysmic world that's moved on. I don't restrict my reading to any particular genre. Instead, I'm a sucker for anything with memorable characters & a story that keeps me on the edge of my seat until the end. Narrator Lynn Devereux’s talented narration added greatly to the book’s enjoyment. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Since I own both the Kindle & Audible edition I was able to follow along while being read to. I have to admit there were times I sped up the book because I couldn't wait to see what happened next. Well-written romantic/suspense, with well-developed characters. I’ll be reading more from this author & look forward to the rest of the series! (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Better than expected

The book was a happy surprise. Although the summary is true, it doesn’t quite do the actual book justice. There is lots of plot, and an actual end to the book (unlike many books with books 1’) after their name! The female lead is strong, and grows as the story progresses.

The Legacy

The Legacy kept me hooked from the very beginning to the very end! The storyline was incredibly compelling with unbelievable quantities of action packed into a single novel. Looking forward to Book 2.

Excellent Story!

The writing and narration are equally amazing in this very exciting tale. I'm looking forward to the next book.

WOW!

This book was fantastic! Original storyline. I was invested from the beginning. I seriously was sucked into this book and when I got to the end I was like "Nooooooooo!" Now I have to get my hands on the next book in the series. Melissa Delport, you have a new fan in me.

Romantic Sci-fi

Although The Legacy contained more romance than I care for, the story redeemed itself with some interesting science fiction ideas and a fast moving, action filled plot. Lynn Devereux did a good job with the voices and she was a perfect fit for the central character, Rebecca.

Great book but cliffhanger!!

I loved this book. The story line was action packed and engaging. the narration was perfect! There is a cliffhanger but makes it exciting. Onto the next book.

enjoyed this book good narrator lots of twists kept me guessing the whole time Everytime I thought I knew what was going to happen I was off. 2 thumbs up.
