Publisher's summary

I’ve spent a lifetime avoiding the various factions of the mafia in NYC, yet somehow I’m in it up to my eyeballs.

I should be scared.

I should want to run.

Yet, the city quivers in fear with every designer-clad footstep I take, because the Valentinis have ascended, and I’m the Don’s lady.

It’s intoxicating.

However, Luciu comes with vendettas and a craving for vengeance that could get him killed. With my allegiance tied to the Irish, can I say yes, when he wants me to take an oath to the Sicilians?

Is a happily-ever-after in the cards, when the "after" isn’t even promised?

This is the second part of the Oath duet in the Valentini Family series. The Don must be heard first.

Amazing!

Such a great story brought to life by two amazing narrators. I can’t say enough about this book and wish there was a continuation with the story. I loved how Luce wasn’t an a-hole like a lot of mafia guys. He was upfront about his feelings. Definitely worth a credit

Narration at its best!

This conclusion of the story that started with The Don is perfect! CJ Bloom stole the story for me. The humor she subtlety adds to the story is priceless.

Spectacular!

I love all of her books and the narrators are always perfect! Definitely worth the credit. I often go back to play any of her books 2-3 times some of them. She’s very good and keeping all the different series connected. ❤️

You feel this book!

Wow, this book hit me hard while reading it...but to listen to the emotions CJ Bloom was able to put into this was perfect. Again the passion the narrators are able to give Luc and Jen is wonderful, you feel their pull. Loved this audio, and will definitely be one I re-listen to over the years.

CJ Bloom as Jen was perfection and Joe Arden as Luciu just added to the amazing story Serena Akeroyd wrote. their voices lent the emotion, feels and passion to the story. I absolutely loved the combination of these two bringing the narrative to life

Luc and Jennifer

Serena Akeroyd is one of my favorite authors because of books like this. She writes such a rich and complete story…it draws you in and keeps hold of you.
The plot, pacing, character development, connections to characters from other books, ancillary characters, banter…everything is extremely well done.
I enjoyed the plot especially since Luc knew Jennifer was “the one” right away and didn’t let anything get in his way.
The narration was very good but the pronunciation of some of the Sicilian words was a bit rough. It’s not a huge deal but it did kind of bug me a bit.
All in all…10 stars! I cannot wait for the next in this series.
