Long awaited

I loved listening to Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell bring Conor and Star to life. They were able to capture the emotion of the story, primarily when they discussed the trauma they each had suffered. I can't wait to listen to Filthy Truth.

Conor and Star

This whole series is amazing. Star is a kick ass hacker and ex-sex slave that has teamed up with Conor to take down some really bad people. They are awesome together. This is a must listen to audio. Serena’s writing and Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell being Conor and Star to life. Lots of feels in this story. Cannot wait to read/listen to the next one!!

Ahhhhhhh

This story is so complex it’s hard to keep up but not impossible. I’ve only read Filthy and Filthy Sex before this but now I need to go back and get the rest of the five points books. I knew Connor and Star were going to do me in. I love them as a couple so much. I would be mad about the cliffhanger if I didn’t already know there was another book. I’ll be throwing myself into that one next, I can’t wait! 😝

Next Level

I have listened to all of the books in the Five Points and Valentini universes and have enjoyed them all, some more than others. But this one takes things to a whole new level. The suspense! The intrigue! Akeroyd brings the storyline full circle as Conor and Star close in on The Sparrows and multiple pieces from previous books click into place. The culmination of the relationship C & S have been building for years is beautifully unfolding in this book, and we’re also starting to see the enormity of the universe Akeroyd has created for these books. The various ways in which the individual stories begin to intersect ratchets up the tension and has me on pins and needles finishing this one. I can only spare five mins to write a quick review before I delve into Filthy Truth.

The narration is perfect…it doesn’t get better than Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell.

Don’t hesitate to buy this one, Feckers! But I highly recommend you listen to all the books in the order on the author’s website. Use your credits, pay full price, sell a kidney…just buy the books and dive headfirst into this filthy world.

I fell in love with Star and Conor while reading the Satan's Sinners series. When I found out they were getting their own book I immediately started Filthy so I would be ready, and I ended up falling for all of those filthy folks. However, Conor has always been my favorite and Filthy Lies absolutely solidified that for me. This book was amazing.

Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell narrate this story beautifully. Joe Arden has always been a favorite, but Maxine is totally underrated and does such an incredible job embodying Star. I swear I could let them talk me to sleep, their voices are so soothing.

Was I hoping after two years of being internet besties slash lovers would mean when these two finally met we'd get a spicefest for days? Heck yes. Am I disappointed we didn't? Not at all. What we got was exactly what Conor and Star needed and that was angsty as heck build up and hot as hades fore play. Both of these characters have such heinous pasts... but they fit together so beautifully and it shows as they get to know each other on a physical level.

It wasn't quite as action-packed as I was expecting, but it's still there and it's still thrilling. We get to know Dead to Me better along with some of Star's other "friends" in the biz. And the last page has me anxiously awaiting Filthy Truths arrival, thank the gods it's only going to be a week because holy canoly that was an ending. I can't wait to finally get to see these two happily ever after and to experience all the action on the way there.

Filthy Lies is the utter definition of seduction of the senses! Just, so ingenus, and now I need more!!!! Plus the Joe Ardens and Maxine Mitchell’s narration just brought the whole story to life.

I love Conor and Star!

The Hacker and the Hit Woman. Nobody writes damaged, lovable, morally murky characters quite like Serena Akeroyd! Star is out for blood and vengeance against the men who sold and controlled her fate for years. Conor continues to work through childhood traumas as he assists Star on her campaign to destroy the Sparrows. Conor’s years-long pursuit of and infatuation with Star Sullivan pays off when they meet at last. I loved these two as they collaborated and flirted from afar. But oooh boy, when they are finally in one place sparks explode and the two become inseparable. Even when the twisted and entangled plotlines had me doing a double take or I didn’t know which alphabet agency was hunting which faction, Conor and Star were so riveting I was fully invested from start to finish! And that ending…thank goodness this duet is complete, I’m not sure I could’ve waited to continue!

Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell were top shelf stellar as Connor and Star! Joe’s portrayal of Conor’s relentlessly loyal, morally charcoal, nerdily charismatic hacker personality was phenomenal. Maxine’s performance of Star, the scarred warrior, tenacious mercenary, and fierce mama bear was awe inspiring. Joe and Maxine’s performances were captivating; I couldn’t stop listening to this gritty, delightful, gutting dark mafia romance.

WOW!!

WOW!! This is action packed from Chapter 1!! This is a continuation of the 5 Points & it is Connor & Stars story. It ends on a Cliffhanger, but it is SO WORTH the listen!!

Love it!

The narration is spot on. They bring the characters to life. I absolutely love this series and have also listened to part of the Sinners MC. Such a good story, I don't want to put it down!
