really nice love story

This was a beautiful love story. LOVED Elliott and all the island people. The elderly characters from the retirement home were simply adorable and added a wonderful touch to the story. I got very frustrated with the Natalie character and the whole man-cation thing about 2/3 of the way in to the story but it ended very well so it's ok.

The heroin was a bit annoying

the main character was so annoying. He was very indecisive and almost immature. But I did like how the story ended. I'm a sucker for a happy ending.

Enjoyed

I enjoyed this book from beginning to the end! I enjoyed not only the romance but the whole family dynamics also. Something that I usually never comment on is the narrator. This narrator is AWESOME!!!

Very Well Done!

Im a long time romance novel fan but new to the audible versions. Got this one free through Amazon Kindle membership. The story was a predictable romance, told very well, which im a huge fan of but what I enjoyed the most was the voiceover. The many different characters were believable and I felt a genuine connection to them all. Especially loved the Colonel.. lol. Great Job Lauren Ezzo

One of the best books I've ever read! I loved every moment from beginning to end.

Mostly Good

I did like the story and enjoyed much of the character interaction. I listened to the audio book and most of the voices were great... except for the Colonel! The voice was grating and I periodically had to skip forward.

Why 3 Stars instead of 4 or 5? The constant use of mancation and repetitive reasons why she was on it. My guess is that the word was used well over 100 times. My hope is that the H will grow up a bit.

Sweet story. Narration ruined it for me.

A nicely written book about sibling love and rivalry, family, friendship and relationships. I would definitely read rather than listen to this if I had to do it over again. The narration of some of the characters is beyond annoying. Jarring and ear piercing are the kinder words I can use to describe some of the secondary characters. The main character narration is nice to listen to so I will definitely listen to her narration again, but I will be reading the rest of the series old school!! In book form.

Very sweet romance

Not your normal hunky, has everything under control leading man and the story is more endearing than if he were. I'm going to look for more by this author.

My Musings

I struggled with this one. I could not like the main characters very much. The conflict felt contrived to me. I don't plan to read the next one in this series. Happy ☺reading 📚!
