However, St. Teresa laments that most people give all their attention to the outer wall of the castle the body, ignoring the beauty of the soul within.
St. Teresa gives practical advice regarding the early struggles and the temptations to turn back, which beset the beginner. Distracting Reading
I love this saint and hoped to learn so much from this, considered to be her masterpiece. But the reader’s voice and manner of reading was so distracting, i am so sorry I could not finish this treasure.

Spiritual Wisdom
There is a reason St. Teresa of Avila is doctor of the Church. Her wisdom on prayer and uniting the soul to God was direct revelation from Jesus himself. Many parallels of her experience in conversing with God to that of Sr. Faustina in Divine Mercy in My Soul.
