Publisher's summary

From New York Times bestselling author Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes a Paranormal Rom-Com filled with dark humor, angst, and a brooding hero who loves no one: The Immortal Tailor.

CAN HE PROTECT HER WITHOUT KILLING HER?

Long ago, Damien Greystone hung up his guns and knives for the quiet life of a tailor. It’s just him, his demonic chihuahua, and his Chinese takeout. Forever.

Oh, did he mention that he’s cursed, and everyone he cares for dies?

So when an insane goddess blackmails him into dusting off his tracking skills to locate a rabid fairy, Damien just wants to get the job done quickly and return to his mundane life.

Until he meets Sky.

She’s beautiful, smart, and up to her ears in danger. He has no choice but to dig out his weapons.

But can he protect her without getting too close? Because his “curse of solitude” doesn’t negotiate, and bad things will happen if he feels anything for this woman.

Maybe it’s already too late.

Keep your finger on your volume

I liked the story, but the narrator’s microphone peaks at intense scenes. It really ruined the experience for me.

Great Spinoff to the Immortal Matchmaker Series!!

I love the spinoff to the immortal's story. The continued world-building is fascinating. Mimi delivers an entertaining and unexpected plot to the main characters and glimpses of past characters! I loved Damien's character and the misadventures that he endures. Bon-bon is adorable! I thoroughly enjoyed this one!!

The narrator did an excellent job providing differentiation between characters and showed emotion and inflection rather than just "reading" the book; which really pulled me into the story!

This book was fabulous!!!

I absolutely adore Mimi Jean's books, and i loved the Accidentally Yours and Immortal Matchmakers series. This is a spin off from those two series and starts right after the big kaboom that happened that caused most immortals to be sent to the underworld, vampires and such turned back human, and the gods to switch personalities... although I think Cimil has kept some of her wackiness left behind!

Damien Greystone, immortal tailor to the gods and other beings, is tasked by Cimil to discover how to fix the issues that have befallen the otherworldly beings. He doesn't want to do it because, darn it, he just wants to be left alone to his tailoring. He and his family before him have a unique heritage... they have a twin inside them that's bloodthirsty. And of course, he was cursed years ago by a witch to be immortal and never to find love. Anyone he cares for dies within days. He accepts and then starts his journey to find out more about some strange happenings. He meets Sky who had a run in with a sex fairy and immediately has think horrible things about her since he actually finds her beyond sexy. But no matter, death still finds her. Back in LA he discovers that he ghost has followed him and then all sorts of things start happening that are bizarre.

Man i really don't want to ruin this book for you because IT IS HILARIOUS!!!!

I was literally laughing so much thru this book my spouse thought something was wrong with me (kookoo for Cocoa Puffs!)
I can't wait to read the next book in the series to see how Damien gets himself out of THAT pickle!!

I received an audio version of this book, and I have to say that this book was absolutely amazing to listen to. I had read this book about a month ago but listening to the audio version just MADE THE BOOK! The narrator did such a fantastic job with the voices, and the yelling (I totally giggled a couple times during the yelling) and I swear I thought I actually heard the narrator snort a laugh before reading a particularly funny part. I love listening to audiobooks because for me, it really makes the book come alive. And that is exactly what this narrator did – he brought the book to life. And it was AMAZING lol. I definitely recommend getting the audio version of this book as well – totally worth it.

I definitely implore you to read or listen to this book!! It can be read as a standalone but it would make so much more sense if you read the other series first!!!

Round of applause for another stellar book by a Mini Jean Pampiloff!!!

I received an ALC for my honest review!
