Publisher's summary

“Impossible to resist, impossible to predict, impossible to put down...this is an author at the top of her game.” (Erin Kelly, author of Watch Her Fall)

The author of the “masterfully plotted, compulsive page-turner” (The Guardian) Our House takes you on a haunting and nail-biting journey of tragedy and revenge.

The Heights is a tall, slender apartment building among warehouses in London. Its roof terrace is so discreet, you wouldn’t know it existed if you weren’t standing at the window of the flat directly opposite. But you are. And that’s when you see a man up there - a man you’d recognize anywhere. He may be older now, but it’s definitely him.

But that can’t be because he’s been dead for more than two years. You know this for a fact.

Because you’re the one who killed him.

With Louise Candlish’s signature dark and twisty prose, The Heights shows “the ferocity of maternal love” (Hannah Beckerman, author of If Only I Could Tell You).

“This cleverly constructed novel will keep readers enthralled until the last page.” (Publishers Weekly, starred)

good one. didn't figure it out. yay

yay finally a book to write home about. geez I can't lately. have we no original ideas left in the world ? well this one did just that. it went out of the box ... and it paid off nicely. im actually impressed. that says a lot. with over 600 titles in my collection and at least 100 more actual books. I consider myself tough to please. this book hit all the boxes.
nice steady pace , no lulls,
Narration was Superb. nothing worse then a bad narration.
I can honestly say I enjoyed. The Heights.

Slow start but fabulous ending

We a little worried at first. Thought it was going to be predictable. But it was not!

Depressing, but worth a listen.

Not as hard to predict as I thought it might be considering some of the other reviews. For the plot being what was, it was a pretty well told story. That being said, it's frustrating to listen to, not because of the story, just that it's depressing. I kept thinking there would be a psychological twist, but it never came, and it pretty much traveled the line it starts on. The main twist comes in the final chapter.
