A through boom in as selection of 10 goddesses , I found it very helpful and quite through on how each Goddess can help one navigate through learning of one’s dark side .

So Good, You’ll want to take notes

I didn’t really know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised with the content of this audio book and found myself taking notes as I listened to each story. The emotions that came up as I heard various stories caused me to pause and journal out some of my thoughts and feelings because as the author was indicating, those are glimpses at our shadows and opportunities to become more aware of them so that integration can take place. I really enjoyed the altar suggestions rituals and guided meditations that accompanied each goddesses story. This is an audiobook that I will continue to go back to pick various sections to listen to because it feels super empowering and helps me address aspects of trauma in a way that feels peaceful.

Very interesting introduction to shadow work

I did not know about shadow work and this book gave me an good introduction of it. It was very interesting to read about the myth of the goddesses and the correlation with difficult times in one life.

A nice exploration of the shadow

Through the lesser known "dark" goddesses.

This is a pretty quick read, another walk through shadow work; but through the exploration of 10 goddesses that you might have heard of, but unless they relate to your personal practice, heritage, or area of study, you've never had the chance to look into further.

A good general intro

Overall, this was a good intro to dark goddesses. The audiobook was well presented. I am, however, a little concerned that parts of the book might infringe on closed practices especially with the rituals for Oya. Although, I am admittedly new to dark goddess lore and might be mistaken.

A Personal Magickal Journey Into Shadow Work

This book drew me in as soon as I saw the title. I love how it's written, each chapter exploring a different Goddess and taking you a journey which you can really experience if you allow yourself to connect. The author is clearly very knowledgeable but she does much more than relay historical insights, she really does invite you to take a personal journey with each Goddess. I love how the chapters seem to flow and follow on so beautifully from each other. A magical journey is how I would sum up this book. It has helped me heal.
