When Fred formed his own parahuman clan out of necessity, he understood that it was going to come with new responsibilities. Much as he hoped those tasks would center around extra paperwork and perhaps the occasional mandatory class, enough time around the supernatural has taught him to be ready for anything. Or so he thought.
As a freelance accountant for the Agency, Fred soon finds himself being tossed into new, unexpected, and perilous situations. From inventorying ghostly castles, to exploring unsettling amusement parks, to negotiating with dangerous mages, it seems there is no end to the uses for an accountant of Fred’s specialty. But dangerous as the new jobs are, the greatest threat may come from the past. An old enemy is making waves once more, an enemy who would go to great lengths to destroy Fred and everyone he loves. In October of 2013, Drew Hayes began posting a story to his website. Written over the thirteen days leading up to Halloween, when each chapter ended the next step was chosen by the readers. Sometimes this led to great discoveries and triumphs, other paths led to Dead Ends, though even in those there was much to be gleaned. For ten years, this tradition occurred, until in the year of 2022, the readers chose a finale. This is their story: a tale of deaths and decisions that spanned a decade.

Fun, but I'll stick with Kirby!
Since I still think the Fred books would make for a great TV show, I decided to give the Graphic Audio book a try. Overall, this was fun to listen to! The first section's music is so loud it's distracting but the rest of the time it was great. The cast has done a wonderful job bringing the story to life, and the transitions were so seamless that I didn't notice anything that was abridged.
I might recommend the Graphic Audio recordings to new listeners, but after hearing the fabulous Kirby Heyborne for seven books, I think I prefer him as the voice of Fred and company. I'll be sticking with his rendition in the future, but that's just personal preference!

Great adaptation
If you've gotten to book 4, you know exactly what you're getting. The themes and characters are the same as previous books ''and that is not a bad thing.'' More than any particular story, I just enjoyed spending time with these characters again and getting to see where their lives were going.

Great narration!
Another really good entry. I think we had some of the biggest moments to date in the series. These moments give the series some direction for future books. I loved the full cast narration.
