Publisher's summary

Bah Humbug!

It’s almost Christmas and Bunny McGarry is not in the festive spirit. His mood is not improved when an old friend becomes the victim of a violent assault and, for reasons he can’t understand, the police force he is a member of has decided not to investigate. Getting to the bottom of the case ends up putting him on the wrong side of some powerful people. How does all of this involve an Italian heiress who has disappeared? Why is the commissioner of the Gardai no longer in charge? And why is a certain teenage boy on the rampage swearing bloody vengeance?

Strap in as things are about to get seriously festive and the big fella is taking no prisoners.

Some people have no appreciation of the fundamentals of the Christmas game.

The Family Jewels is book seven in the Amazon best-selling, critically acclaimed, and numerically infuriating Dublin Trilogy.

Christmasy!

Well, the author is not shy about poking the Italian eye, but it’s more one guy than the whole country. He’s also not shy about, occasionally, sounding like an extension of the Travel Ireland folks. I’m always impressed with how well McDonnell paints the picture people, places and actions. This is another good mix of humor and detective work and nuances of humanity that are intriguing and well done. I enjoyed it. On to the next installment.

McDonnell is astoundingly funny and prolific.

Seriously, I barely had time to finish his last new book before this one was out. An absolute gem looking back in the life of the incomparable Bunny McGarry, with great exposition of his character as it’s developed in the Dublin trilogy. Thanks to Messrs. McDonnell and Jones.

Another triumph

Caimh McDonnell has done it again. Bunny’s life is full of the mayhem we know and love with Deccie as the cherry on top. This may be one of my favorites.

The Best Jewel In The Bunny Series

I have read every book in this delightful series, and Family Jewels is simply the best. The old characters shine and the new ones are welcome additions to a cast about which Dickens would be proud. The narrator’s performance misses not a single note. The Bunny circus continues to shine exactly where it belong, Center Ring from start to finish.

Delightful

Bunny McGarry is a brilliant character! This hilarious story is wonderfully read. So glad this “trilogy” has continued beyond the standard 3 installments. I’ll be anxiously waiting for the next of Bunny’s adventures!

Funny and Engrossing

The character of Bunny has got to be one of the best in Irish literature.

Bunny Shines, as Always

Merry Christmas all year long for Bunny fans. Laugh out loud funny, as always. It almost makes you feel sorry for sanctimonious, self-serving blankety blanks. But no. Instead you get to laugh at them in all of their well-earned misery. What a prezzy!
