amusing

not hiaasen at his most hilarious, but well worth a listen. the story is more serious than the classical, fantastic and exceptional "skink stories" and has a delicious twist at the end. narration is good .

Felt like classic Hiaasen

Good quick classic Hiaasen for all his fans that have been reading his stuff for a while

Nice short story.

You can tell it is early work because it doesn't have his trade mark humor he is known for. Entertaining.

Enjoyable early work by a great author.

Good story; harkens back the the contra/sandinista era in 1980s. While short, I think it was just long enough to give the reader an idea of the Carl Hiaasen to come a few years later.
The narrator is a little shaky leaving some long pauses for no reason.

Very short, scattered. I had hoped this would have lasted longer the 41 minutes, I thought the book had an error it was so short...

Should have a note it is so short. I would have ordered something else for the long drive.

Iran /Contra perspective.

Fun little story to remind us about a time in history that was controversial. Characters are quite graphically presented, loved it.

This is a novella.

This is not a full length novel. It is generous calling it a novella. The story was good but had I known it was so short, I would not have used a credit on it. I listened to in in the course of one day's commute. I do not recall anything in the description stating as such.

The worst book I have downloaded

Skip this one. It's not worth it. It's only ten minutes long. I wish I could get a refund.

Waste of a Credt

I love Carl Hiaasen as an author and Scott Brick as a narrator, which is why I used an audible credit to buy this story. First, I didn't realize it's a short story. Second, it wasn't classic Hiaasen. It was a complete waste of a credit!

Short and boring. Not like his other books at all. I lived in Miami at this time and still did not find it interesting at all.
