Frustrating set up but story is good

We already listened to an audio book of Anne of Green Gables so I purchased this so we could continue the story. It is very frustrating that all of the books are listed as chapters in a “run on” series with no way to tell where each of the books starts. Also, the chapters listed don’t always correspond to what my audio player says the chapter is. We preferred the other narrator but this one is tolerable. Just sometimes hard to tell which character is talking because she doesn’t change the voices.

Worthy of praise

I never write reviews, but this anne of green gables collection was absolutely enchanting. It was full of people who were kind, gracious, noble and courageous with threads of beauty and love woven throughout all the stories. A lovely audible in every way to listen to.

Narrator was annoying

I have loved the Anne chronicles since I was little. The narrator’s voice was so annoying for Anne. She sounded like a cartoon version of this novel. I had to stop listening and wish I hadn’t wasted my credit on this version. I just wen to my library app and am listening to a narrator that has a better understanding of the characters. Love the stories always.

A Wonderful, Glorious trip into the best of what humanity could be.

The ability of the written word to transport a person fully into the story without anything other than a full-on-run, being heedless of time or place.
Then at the end desperately wanting, no needing more. Then realizing there is no more and being grateful you were blessed by what you had read. Yet left bereft there is truly no more.

Really enjoyed the reading

I listened to the complete collection and loved everything but the last couple stories in the final book. One odd thing is that it wasn’t edited well in places. The reader can be heard speaking lines twice or even more times.

Great story as always but 4 and 6 missing

The books are good as always. The narrator does have a strong accent but it doesn't bother me because I listen to these as I fall asleep. But I'm sad that book 4 Anne of windy poplars and book 6 anne of Ingleside aren't included.

Horrible narration

Some of my favorite books but the narrator for this version is awful. Also, the book glitches and won’t load sometimes.

So disappointed

I was excited to use a credit for this set until I began listening. The narrator for the entire series is a woman with a heavy Indian accent, making it difficult to get into the characters. The 4th book is missing. The chapters aren’t labeled or even differentiated between books. Perhaps with enough negative reviews they might actually catch on and fix this issue. Sigh…
