Publisher's summary

Some omegas go to clubs to pick up alphas. Isaac Evans cruises his poetry readings. It’s not the most professional choice, but what’s a horny omega to do?

He doesn’t mean to have sex with Rhett Donovan of the Donovan Poetry Fellowship - the prestigious grant he dreamed of receiving before he slept with the alpha who awards it. And when Rhett gives him a unique career opportunity, Isaac doesn’t mean to fall in love. If anyone found out about his relationship with Rhett, it could mean a career-ending scandal for them both.

He doesn’t mean to get pregnant either. His life is full of accidents.

After Isaac’s made every possible mistake, he has nothing but his poetry to keep him afloat. But in the game of love, poetry might be enough.

The Accidental Everything is a 24,000-word, nonshifter Omegaverse story featuring Mpreg, knotting, and adorable dads. It is an M/M romance intended for an 18+ audience.

Hot and fast.

This story is hot and fast, could done with a little more story around it. Felt a bit rushed.
A new to me narrator did a surprisingly good job. Very enjoyable.

You, me, family, love and happiness

Considering how short this book/audio is I’m quite pleasantly surprised by how well-written the story is. ❤️ Again, despite what the blurb’s saying, this isn’t just a sexy erotica between an Omega and an Alpha. This is a fascinating love story full of drama and twists. 😌

Issac Evans has given up everything for his love of poetry. After being kicked out at a very young age by his father, he has adapted to become tough and uncaring for most things. Now he only lives for his poetry with the occasional thrill-seeking of sleeping with random Alphas at poetry readings. When he met an irresistible Alpha at a poetry reading he was supposed to perform, Issac gave into his desires for this sexy Alpha one more time. But why does this feel like it’s more than a hot one night stand? Rhett is unlike anyone he’s ever met. He’s caring, loving and genuinely interested in Issac’s poetry. When he found out Rhett is actually the Rhett Donovan of Donovan poetry fellowship, one of the most prestigious grants a poet could ever dream for, Issac has to question his willingness to cross boundaries between professional and personal lives. What’s more important? His dream career of the man he’s become to love and cherish with all his heart?

That was a one good listen. Rhett and Issac are two equally lonely and somewhat broken men because of their pasts and I’m glad they found the solace in each other’s arms. And the drama! OMG! 😱😳 I wanted to smash that another omegas photographer who was hell bent on destroying Issac and Rhett’s lives. 🤬 I’m glad he got what he deserved in the end. I loved the side characters in this story too, interesting and realistic. Considering Barney Parkwynne is new to the genre, he did an excellent job narrating the story. 👏 I really enjoyed his narration. I can’t wait to listen more books in this series. 🥰

Great Story

YouTube Poetry Sensation Isaac enjoys meeting alphas at poetry readings. So when Isaac meets a sexy alpha in a tux at his latest reading, of course he slept with him without finding out his name! But then he finds out the alpha is Rhett Donovan of the Donovan Poetry Fellowship, a grant he has wanted forever. When Rhett offers Isaac a chance a unique opportunity to perform his poetry, he can't say no. But their relationship can mean the end of both of their careers, especially when Isaac ends up pregnant! Can these two work together to save their careers and their relationship?
This is such a different read than I initially thought it was like. In Alpha/Beta/Omega books that I have read previously they tend to be romantic and fanciful. This story is raw and emotional and uninhibited and so good. Isaac, the omega, is so sexually aware and unapologetic about it to the point that he writes and performs poetry about his sex life. The sex scenes are intense and so hot, yet emotional and beautiful at the same time. I also love how the author had unconventional couples/pairings in this book as well. Rhett's cousin is a female alpha who is mated to a female alpha, Rhett and Isaac are paired together despite their economical and educational differences. Its a great example of "Love is Love!"!!
The narration was a little disappointing. While the words were clear and easy to follow, the voice was kind of monotone and a little dry making it drag at points. Even during the more intimate scenes, the monotone voice continued and was a little hard to handle. Also the character "voices" were very similar making it difficult differentiating who was speaking. While it wasn't the best narration, it did not stop me from listening to the book and will not stop me from listening to the other books in the series. It just prepares me for I will be encountering.
Overall, great read!

" O CAPTAIN! my Captain! our fearful trip is done. The ship...

... has weather'd every rack , the price we sought is won " Leaves of Grass - Walt Whitman

The Accidental Everything a sexy and offbeat Rom-Com set on Omegaverse. Fell in love with Isaac and Rhett , when read the ebook version of this charming short story. Their journey to HEA is sweet , original and entertaining.

Amy Bellows librarian background shines through when she sagely intertwines her heroes lives and raison d'être with one of the most important collections of American poetry.

Barney Parkwynne is a new , to me , narrator. His narration style is more reading than acting the parts .

The Accidental Everything is book 1 in the Nerds Who Knots series .

Fun story

I realize this is basically novella length but it felt like a full length novel when I was listening to it. There’s only one MCs POV through the story which isn’t the norm for me and made it so the narrator didn’t have to really distinguish between characters, so during some of the dialogue I did get lost in who said what but overall I really enjoyed the story. It was a treat to give in to my Nerdy side and I could appreciate all the factual info in this book along with sharing my love of spoken word and seeing it played out in a character 🖤

Just like a fine Wine🍷

You know the saying "Just like a fine wine, you get better with age". Well I feel like that quote applies to this book but instead of age it's time. I didn't really enjoy the first bit of the book. I felt that Issac made some choices where everything is his gut was telling him not to but he still went ahead with it, and I can't relate to that type of a character. I really did like Rhett, his character was awesome and strong throughout the whole story, and I really loved Rhett's (sister, cousin? I'm drawing a blank lol) but she was hilarious! Plus the entire ending was fantastic from the judge/courtroom to the hospital!!
Barney did a great job with the voices for the characters and I absolutely loved the voice he did for Rhett's daughter, so freaking cute!!

Sweet with heat

I enjoyed this book when I first read it and was looking forward to the audio. I'm a bit disappointed though because the Narrator needs work, there were no inflections and you can't differentiate between characters be they male or female.

Cute Story

Cute story. I have read the second book in this series, just not this one yet. I like Rhett and Donovan and look forward to come of their shorts, but I don’t know I just felt that the story is a bit short and felt rushed at times. I thought that Isaac did a couple complete turn arounds in the book and I’m not sure how I feel about it.

The narration was alright but felt stilted to me, so I am not sure what to think. This is the first book I have listened to by him so I will give him another shot but probably a break between those would be a good idea.

I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review.

A decent short AO story

Isaac is a brash young poet. He's an Omega that enjoys pushing the limits of the literary world; just not on paper. His only hope at success beyond his YouTube channel is landing the Donovan Fellowship. What he doesn't expect is the stranger he hooks up with after a reading is actually Rhett Donovan. And, Rhett doesn't want him either, even though Isaac allowed himself to be vulnerable for some reason.

Needless to say Isaac is surprised to get a text informing him that he has won the grant. Rhett has big plans to bring Isaac's poetry the attention it deserves. Unfortunately, the director Rhett hired is a sleezeball and tricks Isaac into signing papers he didn't have to sign.

When the new video goes viral, Rhett and his cousin make their own video of Isaac and his work. Unfortunately, the loser director isn't done screwing with their lives.

As the control and reputation of the Donovan Fellowship is taken away from Rhett, he comes up with a new venture; one that will also allow his disgraced, pregnant Omega a way back into the world of poetry that he loves.

While I didn't really enjoy this audiobook, I think it was in part due to the length, but also due to the disconnect I felt with the narration. His performance is fair to average, where I'm used to good through exceptional. Overall, it's not a bad listen for the amount of time involved.
