Publisher's summary

For Christians who are struggling to understand what it means to be pious and how to embrace the classic Christian practices of piety, Thank, Praise, Serve, and Obey shows that acts of piety are not simply rules to keep in order to be a "good" Christian, but they are how the new life in Christ is lived out in day-to-day life.

This book explores how to properly hear in the Scriptures our heavenly Father summoning us to the joy and freedom of living and growing as His beloved children through Jesus Christ.

Great devotional read

As a pastor, I really enjoyed this read, and learned a lot myself. This is a great book on the devotional life of a Christian that stems from Luther’s Small Catechism. This book is also filled with great Gospel and application.

Piety not Pietism - Brilliant!

Pastor Will Weedon is a gift to the body of Christ. In simple, passionate, and Biblical language he points the reader to Christ, the author and perfecter of our faith. With wonderful quotes and explanations from Luther's Small Catechism, Pastor Weedon gives us laypeople practical advice on how we should live in light of the Gospel and our baptism. Thank, Praise, Serve, and Obey is one of those audio resources that I'll reference again and again and happy it lives downloaded to my iPhone. For example, there's a 11:00 chapter titled "Prayers for Meditation on the Eucharist" that would be terrific to listen to, pray along with early Sunday morning before receiving the Lord's Supper. And BTW, the narrator, Tim Dixon, did a super job - great inflection, not distracting, clear, strong and animated as the text dictates. A+

Pastor Weedon helps the Christian in his daily practice of faith

Pastor Will Weedon does a magnificent job summarizing some of the chief ways a Christian can live out his faith. He eloquently returns us to the basics of the faith (which we can never outgrow) and revitalizes them by revealing their deep meaning and Biblical foundation. A wonderful book.
