Publisher's summary

About three things I was certain.

First, Edward was a vampire.

Second, there was a part of him, and I didn't know how dominant that part might be, that thirsted for my blood.

And Third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

Isabella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Isabella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Isabella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife, between desire and danger.

Deeply sensuous and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

I amazed at how close the movie was to the book

What made the experience of listening to Twilight the most enjoyable?

I was so in love with the movie and to actually have the story of the book and the discriptions of the characters be so on point was refreshing after being disappointed by the vampire diaries.

What other book might you compare Twilight to and why?

I can't compare it to any. This is very buble gum pop compared to my other vamp titles.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

The narrator was very fitting for the voice of Bella, but other characters...no.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I was just satisfied.

Any additional comments?

This book is very buble gum pop to me. But I love it because, it doesn't hurt to feel like your a 14year old in highschool again and this is what this book brought back for me... a smile of a teenager!

Horrible narration

Love this story, not to excited about the narrator. Won't stop me from listening to the other 2 books, just not impressed.

Guilty Pleasure, But…

So, this is my guilty pleasure. We all have them, right? This could have been a guilty comfort that I returned to again and again, but what kills it for me is the narrator. I understand that the main character is a teenager, but her voice is whiny and hard to listen to. Definitely NOT the Bella I heard in my head when I read the book. Would recommend if you have never read the books or seen the movies and have absolutely no expectations.

Finally did it!!!

I have read the the next 3 books but never the original!
I admit that I watched the first movie and got curious after the wolves were brought in the second.
But finally after all these years, I have made the leap to go back!
Totally worth it now I want to do the marathon of the books!(not the movies!)

The Narrator

Ok so I read these books but I thought that Edwards voice sounded weird I mean it just sounded like she was trying too hard and the first book was not that good for I felt it was kind of rushed but I love the story and the plot but not the narrator

Like KupWTK

Not the best, but something keeps you coming back, you know? The reader is pretty good at differentiating the characters, so it's not hard to follow along.
