Publisher's summary

About three things I was certain.

First, Edward was a vampire.

Second, there was a part of him, and I didn't know how dominant that part might be, that thirsted for my blood.

And Third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

Isabella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Isabella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Isabella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife, between desire and danger.

Deeply sensuous and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

Ilyana Kadushin

I personally think that Ilyana Kadushin’s narrations were very good. I was looking at the reviews and some people said how she sounded lifeless, and didn’t change her voice enough for different characters. But I think she did well. Bella Swan isn’t exactly happy and throughout the books she is suffering with depression, so with Ilyana Kadushin showing that, I think it tells the audience that she is depressed and not happy, and I think It helps narrate the story.

With the character voices, I think Ilyana could have done better to try to change her voice more, but she tried her best and it paid off. She did a really good job. Even if her voice doesn’t change a whole lot for each character, I think you can really tell the difference after reading it a fair amount of times. I have re read the books many times and I can really tell which voice is which, it may not be the most obvious but I think she did a wonderful job.

I think Ilyana Kadushin did a spectacular job throughout the Twilight saga and I look forward to hearing her narrate in the future. If I haven’t seen the Twilight movies, I would say her voice is the perfect Bella Swan. Even with seeing the movies I think her voice just so perfectly fits for Bella.

Different from actual book.

I’ve read all the hard books more times than I could count and just by hearing the preface I’m mad because its not from the actual book. Smh. So disappointed

Twilight overrated

Read Twilight hoping to get a picture of the Olympic Peninsula. More teen romance that environmental descriptions. My mistake!

the narrator

the reader kinda sucked. she created voices that didn’t match the characters and did not put much humanity into the thoughts of bella making it sound choppier than it needed to be.

Voice not too Bella.

The voice didn’t feel like Bella to me. But other than that. I like it.

Twilight

I love all things twilight and this is my first time listening to this series I honestly expected it to be much much worse based on what other ppl had said so it surprised me how much I liked it. The charchters felt really fleshed out! The wierd part was everytime Edward called Bella a child or was like I’ll protect you becuse your weak and fragile (which is a good amount of the book). But I enjoyed how much Bella and Edward actually talked unlike the movie. Don’t know if I would recommend this book but I liked it!
