love Tamora Pierce!

I have been reading her books for 20+ years now. I always look forward to a new release. Her stories immerse you into their world like no other!

I've read this book many times and have now enjoyed the audio version. the narrator was good and did the story justice. I look forward to listening to the next book in the series

Trickster's Choice & Trickster's Queen are at the 5star multi listen pinnacle of Tamora Pierce's EXCELLENT writing! These YA books are adult worthy audio that my daughter & I have been re-listening to for more than a decade. We finally got the audible files so she has them @ college too. Almost everything thing Tamora writes is solid 5 stars and her audio versions are reliably good. These two books [not too immature, too mature or too dark, w/ humor, drama, & love] are perennial favorites.

Fantastic Book!

This is another great book by Pierce, it is not only an engrossing listen/read, but causes the reader to think about the issues of equality and power, while enjoying the book.

amazing

The way Tamora Pierce writes her books is just amazing. She makes her world seem like a real one. Anyone who loves imagination would love this book, being about a stubborn but sly teenager, Ally, who runs away from her parents (spymaster dad and champion knight mom), getting captured by pirates and being sold to a "black" duke's family whose servants are really plotting the reclaim of the kingdom that was stolen from their race hundreds of years ago. The trickster god, Kiprioth, subtly lures Ally into the nation's secret (as of now) battle. If this book has enchanted you, I encourage you to read on in Trickster's Queen, and all the rest of Pierce's books.

Great listening experience

I've always been a huge fan of Tamora Pierce, and this book, just like all the rest, does not fail to satisfy. While a more politically complex book, it still holds the charm of a Tortallan book. The authors input of an entire new land of people with an entirely new culture, adds dimension to her world and intrigues the reader. Her characters are bright, and have intricate personalities that pull the reader in. While the audio is somewhat overdone, the story is nonetheless a good listening experience. I cant wait to listen to book two, and to other series the author might come up with.

A clever tale

It took a bit for it to get my attention but it was a well constructed story with plenty of world building

as always, tamora delivers

interesting, intriguing, creative and a tantalizing story to get your imagination working.
as always we have a strong female heroine, I love the magical creatures and the glimpses into the characters from previous stories to see where they are now.
beautifully narrated and easy to listen too.
I have not only read but also listened to all the audio books that tamora pierce has written and they never disappoint. we'll done
