One of the greatest books I have ever read. No words written will do this story justice, so I'll simply drop the four and let the master speak for herself. Do not deprive yourself of her majestic tale.

See you on the other side, Esther.

The meaning that was held in the book

I read 'The Fault in our Stars' so it seemed like a natural progression to read this volume. I had no idea that this was for 'teens' but 90% was not. How can cancer and death be for youngsters. This book make me 'think', cry and re-evaluate my relationships. As a youngster I too faced death so I could empathize. I 'got' it, I 'got' Esther. It brought me back to a time when my friends and family( including my four pawed family) were more important than my 'must do' list. It brought me back to a time when dreams were big and trying was all that mattered. Nothing was impossible and real worries could be brushed aside by a kiss on my forehead or the gentle sweet purring of my cat.

This may not be for everyone but with audible's return policy I highly recommend that you give this book a try. Personally it is a read and reread for this fan.

Would you consider the audio edition of This Star Won't Go Out to be better than the print version?

I have both the printed and Audio of this book. Her art is great in the print, But the emotion from the people reading this book is moving. Its narrated by many of the people who wrote parts of the book. Her parents Lori and Wayne, you can feel all the feels from there reading.
