Maybe. I enjoy rereading books as it builds my comprehension and I tend to pay attention to piece that I may have missed previously.
To be honest I am on book 4 now so it's hard to remember the best part because they have become one big story. I enjoy Damien as he is one of those bad boys with the heart of gold types
Voice wise Bonnie.
kindlefire lover !!!!
I really enjoyed this listening to this book and was able to complete it in a matter of 2 days via audio/kindle fire. I have the hard copy of this book and it would take so much longer to read as I always had to find time. But with audio books you can listen to books anytime and anywhere !!!!! Moving on to the next won !!!!!! Thank you !!!!!!
Loved the character's !!!!!!!
Elena and Damon
Yes ! My reaction was that I loved it and want to listen and/or read more !!!!!!!
I would listen to it again in order to follow the story since it's a continuation of the first book & leads on to the third
Old story in modern day setting, the sense of nostalgia, romance & danger
She's not bad as narrator, but she's not overly brilliant either
This is already a TV SERIES named after the book
very very good!
it reads very smoothly, and the plot is perfect. much better then the TV version
I love all of her performances. I have heard all of the Vampire Diaries and would love to hear any of her other performances.
nothing specifically and everything
Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
This series keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting to read and read. The only thing that i don't really like is the Narrator. She does a good job but i just don't like her voice. Just me.
I watch the weekly show of the Vampire Diaries and am HOOKED!. It was fun listening to how different the characters are in the book verses the show. It was a good listen. I plan to continue listening to the rest of the book series.
I really want more Elena /Damon interaction. The narrator is pretty good too. That is important when you listen to a series and i think they made the right choice in Rebecca Mozo.
Loves reading books, but have limited time. So audible presents a perfect solution for me!
Yes, I hav just purcahsed the 3rd and 4th book in the series.
The book took a while to get going and I almost lost interest. The way the book ended is what made me want to buy the next installment in the series.
I have had better narrators on the other books I have lstened too, but she is oky.
No not really
Very different from the TV series, but still worthwhile for all VD fans.
"Dull, dull, dull!!"
Listened to the 1st book then this, after the 1st i was hoping it would improve, but it doesnt. They are nothing like the series, the narrator sounds like shes talking through a cloth on top of which she is very dull and the story never seems to get going. MY humble opinion stick with Sookie Stackhouse!!
I agree with a previous reviewer, dull, dull, dull ! ! Book 1 piqued my interest, by the middle of book 2 I wanted the heroin to die as soon as possible lest she contaminate the human gene pool as one of stupidest most lack-lustre heroins of all time.
I think that this is an almost unbearably bad book. The description of the lead character's thought processes and the minutiae of her actions reduce the books pace to that of drying paint. GOOD GRIEF ! The Sookie Stackouse or even Merit books are Umberto Eco by comparison.
The TV series in this case is, in departing completely from the original story, doing us all a great favour.
I love these books. I started out watching the tv series and have been hooked ever since. The way the book is written makes you feel like you get to know the characters. The audio version is well narrated and makes the story much more exciting. I like the Italian accent used for Stefan and Damon that you don't get in the televised version. The story, as always, is exciting and fun. I would definitely recommend this series of books!
"The saga continues"
This book picks up where the first book ends. The characters face fear, danger and trial in this superb sequel. A must-buy for anyone who loved The Awakening. These books won't make much sense when read separately and out of order, so buy the whole lot and enjoy!
