Scorching good listen... but...
Definitely better than the first. love the twists...although I felt like it turned Hunger Games almost when Group B got involved, like a twisted version of "Capture the Flag" when they got to the Safe Haven. Considering I saw the movie before I read the book, I must say that I can see why they changed certain things. Will be interesting to see what the next one brings.
As far as shipping goes, definitely Brenda and Thomas. Not a huge fan of Teresa- no matter how she tried she really could not justify her behavior.
LOVED Jorge- kind of wish he was more crazy in the movie. Definitely recommend this series. The one thing I am a little iffy on is the narrator himself: he did a good job, but when it came to doing the girl voices I he was 'eh'. Otherwise, amazing.

Magical results
While this story is entertaining and I do like the personal interactions between the characters, I feel that the need to have all the details of each trial explained a bit of magical results. The plot is unclear until a full explanation occurs. It is kind of like telling a joke and then having to explain the joke because no one but the author gets the outcome of the flow of where the story will lead. I thought the first book worked better because of this.

Great listen with the kids
I have a nine year old boy and a 12 year old girl and we've listened to the last two books back to back driving to and from sports and school. My kids love the story. They ask to put on Mazerunner as soon as they get in the car. I don't usually buy extra credits but when we finished "The Scorch Trials" I bought more credits. I admit that it's better than a lot of books that I listen to by myself.

It is a quality book
I liked how it ended in suspense. When they were roaming in the desert it was ok. I love how teresa betrayed Thomas. Over all it was a quality book.

AMAZING! COULDN'T STOP LISTENING!
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Scorch Trials?
Every part of this book is a memorable moment! It was sooooooo captivating throughout the whole story line. Literally on the edge of my seat the whole time!

This is a definite MUST read! Maze Runner was a great book, but this book is just WOWZER! Such an amazing and interesting story that will keep you wanting more and more!
