Until the day I met John Smith, Number Four, I'd been on the run alone, hiding and fighting to stay alive.
Together, we are much more powerful. But it could only last so long before we had to separate to find the others....
I went to Spain to find Seven, and I found even more, including a tenth member of the Garde who escaped from Lorien alive. Ella is younger than the rest of us, but just as brave. Now we're looking for the others - including John.
But so are they.
They caught Number One in Malaysia.
Number Two in England.
And Number Three in Kenya.
They caught me in New York - but I escaped.
I am Number Six.
They want to finish what they started.
But they'll have to fight us first.

I think I liked "The Power of Six" better, but this was still an entertaining story. We received a little more insight into the characters' personalities and their respective legacies, in addition to meeting another gaurde member. The last half of the book was pretty action packed too.
The love triangle/square that formed during the second book took a back seat in book three. I think that whole angle was a little unbelievable when you threw Sam in there. I'm not quite sure if the story line is dead or might revive itself later, but it didn't really come to a head. Certainly not in typical teenage girl fashion. Overall it was a very good story and I'm excited for the release of book four.

I liked first two parts and I was eagerly waiting for this one. This series held such a promise and this guy managed to mess it up. book was fine until about last third where writer got lost in the story. The end..... I'm trying to think of the word that would describe it and I'm coming out blank. It's aweful. Ruined the whole thing even if you forget about messed up story.
While it does posses many of the typical young adult novel clichés they are aren't nearly as apparent as they are in series such as The Hunger Games or Divergent. I would compare it to the Maximum Ride series. If you enjoy the series enough to get to this point it pays off in dividends.
Yes, l might have missed part of the story.
Ella, because she is developing into an interesting character.
I usually like to read the books, but I like to listen when I am traveling.
Yes if I could.
Pros: Good story, good performance
Cons: Annoying teenagers arguing with each other thinking they know everything and getting in trouble because of it. They use their abilities to barely escape only to repeat the same mistakes for seven books straight. At least they are short books

story was as good as ever accept for the last chapter where they come up with the garbled radio recordings and you really can't understand anything that's said
I hated the end of the book with the parts from Pittacus Lore, the narrator was terrible & very hard to understand. The rest of the book was very good and the narrators are much better.
