Publisher's summary

"There are only two reasons a nonseer would see a spirit on St. Mark's Eve," Neeve said. "Either you're his true love... or you killed him."

It is freezing in the churchyard, even before the dead arrive. Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them - not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her. His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble.

But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can't entirely explain. He has it all - family money, good looks, devoted friends - but he's looking for much more than that. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents all the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul who ranges from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher of the four, who notices many things but says very little.

For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She never thought this would be a problem. But now, as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she's not so sure anymore.

From Maggie Stiefvater, the best-selling and acclaimed author of the Shiver trilogy and The Scorpio Races, comes a spellbinding new series where the inevitability of death and the nature of love lead us to a place we've never been before.

hell yea!

I honestly have checked this out of my actual library atleast 3 times but was always too lazy to pick it up lol However these days I have been listening to alot of music and podcast so I thought I might as well download audible. This book was one of the first few I have read listening and its honestly my new favorite thing! The world is super magical and so well written. Its also very mysterious which made it very easy to pay attention too.

Couldn't stop listening

I didn't really know anything about this book when i bought it. I was just looking for a new series and went with Audibles suggestions, and i love it. The book was supposed to give me a weeks worth of joy as i sit on the bus but instead I have gorged myself on it. I couldn't (and didn't want to) stop listening to it. It is an intriguing plot with great characters that i feel really invested in. I have just bought the next book and I'm pleased to see there is 4 in the series. The voice actor is fantastic and really helped immerse me in the story.

Can not recommend it enough

Brilliant the whole way through. love the narration and Maggie's whimsical approach, I could listen to this over and over just to hear the intriguing way she adds the most beautiful detail to each character, entering that character and vowing the works from their perspective. I'm definitely a fan.

Freakin' Love These Books

I LOVE these books. The narrator takes some getting used to, but once you're used to him it would be hard to imagine it being read by anyone else. This book (series) is funny, clever, witty, suspenseful, intense, fast-paced, and UNIQUE. I absolutely love it.

I <3 Will Patton! And the novel is great, too!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Raven Boys to be better than the print version?

YES! I am in love with the voice of Will Patton! His narration style is both sonorous and moving. At first I was surprised that he would work with a YA novel, but now l am even more impressed by his talent. Although I would have enjoyed the story in any format, Mr. Patton was the cherry on top.
