Publisher's summary

Sydney Sage is an alchemist, one of a group of humans who dabble in magic and serve to bridge the worlds of humans and vampires. They protect vampire secrets - and human lives.

In the Indigo Spell, Sydney was torn between the alchemist way of life and what her heart and gut were telling her to do. And in one breathtaking moment that Richelle Mead fans will never forget, she made a decision that shocked even her....

But the struggle isn't over for Sydney. As she navigates the aftermath of her life-changing decision, she still finds herself pulled in too many directions at once. Her sister Zoe has arrived, and while Sydney longs to grow closer to her, there's still so much she must keep secret. Working with Marcus has changed the way she views the Alchemists, and Sydney must tread a careful path as she harnesses her profound magical ability to undermine the way of life she was raised to defend. Consumed by passion and vengeance, Sydney struggles to keep her secret life under wraps as the threat of exposure - and re-education - looms larger than ever.

Pulses will race throughout this thrilling fourth installment in the New York Times best-selling Bloodlines series, where no secret is safe.

Awsome Writer

Would you listen to The Fiery Heart again? Why?

The book is 4th in a series and yes I would listen again however I wish that the readers would have stayed the same as all of the other books. I didn't like the fact that Adrian now has his own voice it through off all of the others. The book followed along with all of the others in this series but you didn't have to leave me hanging at the end. I think that you should have resolved the Sydney issue and then started a new book after that.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Only one reader. I don't like the two separate readers.

LOVED IT!

If you could sum up The Fiery Heart in three words, what would they be?

Epic, Heart Racing, Romantic

What other book might you compare The Fiery Heart to and why?

It is very romantic and filled with heart racing moments rivaling that of Tiger's Curse.

What does Emily Shaffer and Alden Ford bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I loved it. Emily is great as always, there was little to complain about her performance. Alden, he captured Adrian in a way that I feel like I can understand the character a bit better. I hope he stays on for the remaining books if the author continues with this two character POV.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It was the most romantic book of the series. There were times I held my breath during those moments.

Any additional comments?

I was surprised by Emily's change of Adrian’s voice. I didn’t like it. Guess I just got used to the other voice and it felt like Sydney was speaking to someone else and not Adrian. It didn't feel right. I hope she returns to the previous voice.

A villain in every book

I am not going to lie, every book in this series has a character I simply can not stand from the Vampire Academy to the Bloodline series. This book definitely made me question Sydneys father and hate how immature Zoe was.

Please bring back Emily Shaffer to reread Adrian

Would you consider the audio edition of The Fiery Heart to be better than the print version?

NO, Adrian is not Adrian without the accent and snark. It was very hard to listen to. The male narrator was horrable.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Fiery Heart?

I will not spoil it, just in case someone hasn't listened to or read the book but wanted to read reviews first.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Emily Shaffer is perfect to read Sydney's and Adrian's part. I have no idea why Adrian was read by someone else. If anything he should have listened to the prevous books to at least try to adopt Adrian and his personality. Please only use Emily for the next two books.

Hate the new Narrator

I really enjoy these books but I almost stopped listening because Alden Ford is such a bad narrator. He’s monotone through most of it. Emily Shaffer should have done the whole thing.

All Build Up

So unlike the last 3 books that had a distinct adversary from the get go, this is all about setting things in motion. A lot of what you want to happen does and yet all your fears come true. If you’re looking for action this is just a necessary bridge to that. As for the narration, the male voice could be better. Overall his voice is pleasant but he doesn’t vary it between characters or situations. Emily’s voice is good enough to mostly overshadow that and is why I gave it a 4.

HOW COULD YOU !!!

How could you change the narrator?
I understand that the book is written from a dual POV but how could you destroy adriens uniqueness?
9 books (including VA) we could enjoy emily shaffers unique interpretation of adrien.
and now suddenly he changed into a normal (boring) guy? Whoever is producer and responsible for this change has clearly not understood that people love this series not only because of the wonderful writing of mrs mead.
i had to stop listening and could not continue for half a year. now i started this book again and i am still absolutely disappointed.
Also Mrs Shaffer has changed her intonation of adrien, i better not put into words how angry i am
