Good background story

I liked the book, didn't necessarily love it but it definitely takes your imagination to another world! I absolutely LOVED the narration to this audio book. I enjoyed the different voices and foreign accents. Superb!

Just like i remember it

The first time I read this book was 6 years ago in Middle School and I was sucked in from right away. All these years later I stumbled upon it as an audiobook and bought it on the spot. I really enjoyed hearing/reading it again and reconnecting with my youth.

Best book ever!

I loved it. I was hooked from the start.Cant wait to enjoy the rest of the series.

Caught my attention from the start

I enjoyed this book. The author caught my attention immediately. I like the way legend has been spun throughout for example the Egyptian gods the legendary sword Excalibur. This gave this writing an unexpected twist for me

Not worth it.

Ridiculously repetitive. Listening to this did not add any value to my life. Josh is so dumb I became angry at him at several points. The narrator and plot are decent. The writing is awful. There is so much purple prose. I was expecting to love it so much because I never read it as a kid. Maybe I hyped myself up too much beforehand and set my expectations too high. Oh well.

Children's Novel......Maybe!

I thought this sounded like a great book since I am into fantasy and mythology like Lord of the Rings and Eragon. Not that I would compare this book to any of those titles but when I heard "Welcome to Audible Kids" when I started the book on my MP3 player I may have blushed just slightly (I'm 49). Turns out the book is fantastic and so is the reader. I like to think I am of above average intelligence and this book entertained me and left me wanting more and just did not seem at all to be a children's novel. It is rare that a writer can write something that appeals to old and young alike but that is what you will find here. I love the characters and the voices are handled nicely by the narrator. I highly recommend it and the two that follow it as well.

Really Good!

Really interesting take on magic and reality. If you like Harry Potter this is a good choice. I found it very entertaining and was glad when Audible got the sequel!

Fun and Exciting! Very enjoyable

This book is fantastic. I was well entertained and will be listening to more. The relationship between the twins are great and you cant wait to hear what is happening to them next. The characters and the voices are handled very well by the narrator. I recommend this book to anyone that likes fantasy.

This book is really good! I was indecisive about buying this book but I did really enjoy this. I also can't wait to buy the next ones.
