The performance

To be honest, I'm a guy and I wanted to know what women read these days. Also wanted some insight on how women think. The story is told from JJ's perspective and we get to read her mind a little. Now I don't know if I got what I came for. But I sure did enjoy Lisa Cordileone's performance! She really brought the character to life. I fell in love with all of the characters. Also I actually wanted more from the story that's why I only rated it a 4.. guess i'd have to get the rest of the series. Now I know what all the fuss is about.

That Boy is That Good!

This book was so much better than I thought it would be. It was super adorable, with a protagonist you could root for, and two cute boys to keep us guessing. It was light without being overly cute. It was a romance with an actual plot. And about midway through, it gets REAL. And that was done really well too. I have no complaints! As for the performance, I thought that the narrator did a phenomenal job. Rarely do I think the narrator actually enhances the book, but in this case she did.

What a great book! I loved Jay's inner talkings. The book was funny, sad, romantic. I want a Phil in my life. He was so sweet and devoted to JJ. Great book. Can't wait to read book 2.

I would like one of each, please

I love That Boy ... I loved That Girl ...I have been through the book twice. I think it might be a require a third time. Oh to have friends like Danny and Philip, so sweet and supportive ... always willing to help with anything.

One to love always for the challenge of it and the other to love always with your heart. That Boy brought me to tears of joy, tears of sadness, and tears from laughing so hard. JJ is a witty character who always gets what she wants and ends with what she needs most. I love both male characters and no matter which she ended up with ... I loved them both.

Hooked

Everything about this story was amazing. I originally started listening to the audio book on my own but my fiancé heard part of it one day and we were hooked. He didn’t let me listen to any of it without him. It had us laughing, smiling, shocked and rooting for the central characters. A must read/ listen.

Eh. I didn’t bother finishing it

It started off very strong - I was completely wrapped up in the story. I felt connected to the main character. However, about 2/3 I just didn’t care anymore. The main character never shakes her childlike persona. Even though she’s an adult woman, she talks juvenile and acts it. I don’t think that’s the narrator, I think it’s how it was written. It’s written like what an adult woman THINKS a teenager should talk like. It’s not realistic.

The men in this book may be sweet, but as they grow to be men, they’re also chauvinistic and controlling. Not a fan. When it came down to it, I didn’t want her to end up with anyone she knew.

I didn't care for this book. the reading was uncomfortable. kept waiting for it to get good.

Loved it

I absolutely loved it!! It is the kind of romance that I have always dreamed of. The narrarator was PERFECT!

Different classification

Decent enough book, but disappointed in how it was described before purchase. I feel like this should have been labeled as a young adult book.
