Friggin' loved it! Can't wait for number 2.
I couldn't put this book down. The epics were diverse and believable in their skills. Not so powerful that it was unrealistic to root for the underdogs which I really liked. I hate reading a book and thinking "oh come on, they would have hit him by now."
The writer also has a good sense of humor which makes the book playful at times in what could otherwise be a pretty dark world to live in. This is my first book by Sanderson, I've since downloaded one of his other books because I liked this one so much.

Interesting take on the genre
MacLeod does an amazing job of swapping between voices throughout the story. It kept the story flowing and entertaining. A great story with interesting and fun character's, and a heartfelt undertone. Picking up the sequel now!

This book was awesome. I literally couldn't turn it off and considering that I purchased it on a whim for a road trip hoping for something passable, I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised.

Enjoyable story
I liked this story overall main character was a little too good at solving every problem. And the narrators voice would annoy me after a while but not enough to make me want to stop listening. I found myself wanting to grab the next book when it was over though. So overall I would recommend.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
Very different from the other Sanderson books I've read, but I loved it! I also loved that unlike some of his other books, which have taken me a while to get into, this one grabs you right from the start. Both the story and narration were fantastic! Can't wait to read book 2!
