Narrator could be better

I think this narrator is kind of cheesy, she got better as the story went on but some of the accents are horrible. The story itself is good but I wish they had the old narrator back.

Mead did it again!

Where does Spirit Bound rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

That is hard to answer. I cannot say it was the best book I've ever read and its far from being considered fine literature. But, comparing it to other books I've read in this genre, I would say I would rank it high.

What other book might you compare Spirit Bound to and why?

This particular series reminds me of The House of Night series. Both are written in an academic setting. I found the Vampire Academy series, much more enjoyable, and although I would have enjoyed more books, Richelle was wise to stop it when she did, and not make the mistake of P.C Cast, and run a series in the ground.

What does Emily Shaffer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She has a youthful voice without sounding like a child. She also has the ability to portray males without sounding like someone with a paper towel jammed down their throat.

Any additional comments?

A good read!

Time for one last epic adventure before adulting!

Rose is finally back home so you would think that things would start to go back to normal but her life does not work like that. Dimitri keeps sending her messages. Thank goodness for Adrian. He is helping her to heal and remember to live life. Then there is the mystery surrounding spirit and spirit infused stakes. Knowing that soon they will be released in to the real world, and that may mean a new guardian job for Rose. It’s time for one last epic adventure for Rose and Lissa and this one is more unexpected than all the others!

This one kept me on edge and the journey was exhilarating, infuriating and so much more!!!

this author NEVER seems to fall short.

once again this author ranks among the cream of the crop in my opinion ... i love ALL of her books... and i've either read or listened to all but one of the books she has out so far.. so far am saving that last one (a different series than this) for a rainy day at the moment since it is one that i know will be excellent before even reading the synopsis. Believe me ... start with the first book in any of Richelle Mead's series and if you like it you'll be sure to love ALL the rest of her books.. she has 3 series out right now... this one (about a few types of vampires and vampire half breeds, you'll learn alot more in the books), as well as one series about a Succubus and her Co=workers for the side of hell who though evil really are not all that bad and some Angels to boot... and her other series which includes things MUCH more out of the usual.

AMAZING!!!!!

MUST read for this series of books. Best thing since Twilight...or possibly even better :)
I totally got hooked on the characters, the story, the EVERYTHING about this series. No matter if your a teen or in your 40's... This is an awesome story.
It will take you on a trip quickly. Sucks you in and doesn't let go even when you've finished. I can see why Richelle Mead is at the top of the MUST READ list :) ** highly recommend all her books **

Ok

Honestly, Rose Hathaway is the WORSE protagonist ever. This is the 5th book in this series and I HATE her she is SUPER annoying. She's childish, overbearing, self centered, and immature. The author did absolutely nothing to develop this character and show growth as the series continued. In the last book she deserves NO happy ending the best ending would be for her to DIE! The narrator was ok but I would have preferred Dimitri sans the Russian accent it made him sound like Rose's father which was creepy since he's her love interest.
