Publisher's summary

Jacque Pierce was just an ordinary 17-year-old girl getting ready to start her senior year of high school in Coldspring, Texas. When a mysterious foreign exchange student from Romania moves in across the street, Jacque and her two best friends, Sally and Jen, don't realize the last two weeks of their summer are going to get a lot more interesting. From the moment Jacque sets eyes on Fane she feels an instant connection; a pull like a moth to a flame. Little does she know that the flame she is drawn to is actually a Canis Lupus, werewolf, and she just happens to be his mate, the other half of his soul.

The problem is, Fane is not the only wolf in Coldspring, Texas. Just as Fane and Jacque are getting to know each other, another wolf steps out to try and claim Jacque as his mate. Fane will now have to fight for the right to complete the mating bond, something that is his right by birth but is being denied him by a crazed Alpha. Will the love Fane has for Jacque be enough to give him the strength to defeat his enemy? And will Jacque accept that she is Fane's mate and complete the bond between them?

Recommended Clean for Teens

I didn't realize I was buying a clean teen book. I think younger teen girls would love this book. I found the female main character to be childish and somewhat annoying. (Lots of cutesy sassy teen dialog)

Coldspring Native approves!!

I have loved this series since I first read it!! As a Coldspring, Tx native I am just thrilled that our little town is in a book. However, one small detail....we are a rural country town not a suburban city. I desperately wish we had a book store here like in the book. The storyline is wonderful throughout the series. This is a series that I have read many times and it never gets old. Waiting for someone to make it into a movie and come film in this one horse town!! The voice for Jen is a little creepy, however and I wish it were a bit more feminine. Overall great read!!

great book

not happy that the reader made Jennifer sound like she smoked a pack of cigarettes a day and when your supposed to be yelling it comes out as a horse wisper. other than that hat it's good.

Narrator issues....

Would you try another book from Quinn Loftis and/or Abby Craden?

I did enjoy the story but it was really hard to listen to. I don't want to be harsh but the narration was horrible.

Absolutely a must read

I could not put this book down! It was very down to earth and had a story line. I loved the characters and the range of individual personalities. The only reason I did not give it a five was the word “Werewolf “ instead of shifter. The word “werewolf” makes negative thoughts and bias in reader’s minds. Small and petty on my part but absolutely love this book!

A good read!

This is my first Quinn Loftis Book, and I really enjoyed it. The story of Jacque and Fane is a love story that’s not like any other. 17 year olds aren’t supposed to find their soul mates but when it happens it happens in epic proportions.

Fane, the Romanian Prince of the Canis Lupus comes to Cold Springs Texas when his wolf pulls him that direction. When he comes across his one true mate, both of their lives are turned upside down. Sees someone else has “claimed” Fane’s mate.

Let’s just say that doesn’t go over well. It sets off a chain of events no one sees coming but is ready to head them off. No wolf is going to let his mate be in danger, and no wolf is backing down from a fight.

It’s a crazy mix of laughs, love and when you add in Jacques’ two best friends, Jenn and Sally, things get interesting.
