Publisher's summary

When Kaylee Cavanaugh screams, someone dies.

So when teen pop star Eden croaks onstage and Kaylee doesn't wail, she knows something is dead wrong. She can't cry for someone who has no soul.

The last thing Kaylee needs right now is to be skipping school, breaking her dad's ironclad curfew and putting her too-hot-to-be-real boyfriend's loyalty to the test. But starry-eyed teens are trading their souls: a flickering lifetime of fame and fortune in exchange for eternity in the Netherworld - a consequence they can't possibly understand.

Kaylee can't let that happen, even if trying to save their souls means putting her own at risk....

Loved it!

I have been looking forward to this book since I finished the first one, and I was not disappointed!

I am in my 30's, and though this is for YA readers, I really enjoyed it. There is some of the expected teenage angst/lust etc, but it's not over the top. :)

What I have really enjoyed is the plot of each book - I don't want to give anything away, but Rachel Vincent really has put together a storyline that is quite different from other supernatural Sci Fi... if you are a little tired of vampires, witches, and were's, then you need to listen to these!

Can wait for the next one!

Another great book! Hooked on this series!

If you could sum up My Soul to Save in three words, what would they be?

Adventurous, creative, fun. (With a dash of sexy)

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

Any additional comments?

Cannot wait to get on with the next book!

Good But the Romance Ruins it

The actual story is really interesting and cool, but the romance between Kaylee and Nash is so stupid and boring I just wish it would end. It's so half assed and uninteresting, If it's going to have a romantic subplot MAKE IT A REAL PLOT POINT, at this point it's just a lame interruption.

Enchanting Fun

Kaylee Cavanaugh is a banshee. That means when someone dies, she screams uncontrollably. So how come when she and her boyfriend, Nash, are at a rock concert and the pop star falls down dead before them, Kaylee doesn't scream? Maybe because the pop star had no soul? Looks like someone is convincing teenagers to sell their souls for fame and fortune and Kaylee is caught in the middle and the only way to get out is to travel to the Netherworld.

I really enjoy this series of books. They're fun, easy to listen to and a bit captivating. The author does a good job of selling her story and making me want to keep listening to it. They're narrated by Amanda Ronconi and she does a wonderful job reading the books. Her voices are convincing and believable and she seems to capture the attitude and voice nuances of teenagers.

Interesting sequel.

I really enjoyed the prequel and the first book. With the second book I seemed to have lost my desire to finish the series. This is a good story but it feels like it might be a downward spiral from here. I’m seeing more teenage angst, jealousy and annoying side of ‘am I good enough? / why me?” from Kaylee that isn’t endearing her to me. For an unknown reason I don’t really like her boyfriend Nash. Although I love to read many different genres, this book might just be too much of a teenage book for me. Amanda Ronconi is great as always.

Well Done

Would you listen to My Soul to Save again? Why?

I'm glad I listened to it, but I wouldn't listen to it again, I would read the back of the book to refresh my memory.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I liked Todd the best, I'm hoping Kaylee and Todd get together. He seems like a better guy than Nash.

What about Amanda Ronconi???s performance did you like?

I LOVE Amanda Ronconi!!!!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The price of fame

Any additional comments?

I thought it was a good 2nd book and I very much enjoyed the new characters.

Funzo!

Copy and Pasted from My other review of another Book in the series
This book series falls under supernatural, with out being "same stuff, different day". There's alot of fun in it and Vincent created a world that you can get lost in... Probably a series for younger readers and maybe a little geared for the female reader, never the less... I, a 30 y/o male, read&listen to a wide range of SiFi/Fantasy: from Harry Potter to Interview with a Vampire to Harry Dresden. I enjoy this and It's something other then twilight to share with my 14y/o sister.

Amanda Ronconi is amazing and brings the characters and the world to life for me.

Fun!

Definitely a young adult book but I’m 40 and still really enjoy the series and I think the author has really creative ideas and rules for the world she’s created! This was a really good one!
