I enjoyed hearing all of the stories but I actually am a little sad that Kiera Cass didn't write about Kriss Ambers, because I was curious about how she was involved in what she was doing (don't want t give spoilers, but those who read the Selection series understand what I mean). I liked getting the various perspectives!
If people have read the Selection, this is definitely something that I think should be listened to or read. Simply put, we get more details and I will say that there is information you might enjoy learning about that will go in between the first three books and the fourth book that is coming out.
I love hearing the expressions and the voices. I didn't even think that the queen would have had an accent from where she came from, and that made it more understandable for her story.
Yes this is totally an American type of TV show. I don't watch American TV though (I have no channels.. .I'm a book reader).
I listened to this while I was quilting and it made doing so more enjoyable.
I was so excited that there was another book in this series. However, I would never have purchased this book if I had known that it was primarily going to be excerpts from the other books in the series that I already read. Very disappointing!
I enjoyed he between the stories information. I've really enjoyed the selection series and loved learning more about the characters, especially the male perspectives. It really rounded out things nicely. Great addition in my opinion. I read this one before going on to the Heir.
I could not believe my ears! Who made the horrible decision to change the queen's/narrator's accent to Italian? It's senseless and ridiculous. I was already not sure if I needed these stories, based on some of the other comments. I couldn't even get through 2 chapters. I'm definitely returning.
Too many of these audiobook directors just don't give a damn about the fans.
I was aww struck at the ending of "the one" & need closure I need more! and in this book it gave me everything I wanted and needed but it did make prince maxton a didn't person then I thought... but it did give you a lead up to the crown witch was nice!
No, because of the fact that it seems none of the readers spoke to the author to find out how to pronounce words correctly.
America, only because her reader was the only one whom pronounced the world Illia correctly.
Yes. It paced perfectly for the story.
No. Due to how the readers never pronounced the countries name correctly.
Make sure the readers talk to the author to make sure they are pronouncing words created by the author correctly.
Several of these stories shed new light on parts of The Selection trilogy, and I couldn't help rereading the original series after finishing these novellas. The different stories vary in how good they are, but most are very good, and I do highly recommend them if you enjoyed the trilogy. My only complaint would be that I wished I could hear the entire story from the perspectives of some of these characters - I hope she goes back and rewrites the entire series from Maxon's viewpoint.
