"I should have just bought the novel"
Is there anything you would change about this book?

I am a big fan of this series and could not wait for the final book. While the story nicely wraps up the journey that Patch and Nora have traveled throughout the series, I was somewhat disappointed by the 2nd half of this book. I think that performance by the narrator may be to blame for that though.

What other book might you compare Finale to and why?

Gates of Paradise by Melissa De La Cruz also is the final book in a series that follows 2 characters that overcome an sacrifice a lot for love.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I will not purchase any other books narrated by Carlin Greer! She seems more concerned about proper pronunciation of the words than about what emotion is required to compel listeners to follow along. There are parts in the story where she makes Nora sound happy when facing situations that fans of this series will know are heartbreaking.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    Yes

    Any additional comments?

I am an avid reader. I've read over 100 books in the last year and have really enjoyed almost all of the 20+ audio books that I have purchased . With that said, it took me almost 3 months to listen to this entire audio book because every time I would play it, I found myself wishing I would have just gotten the ebook instead of wasting the money on the audio version !

    "Pleasantly surpised"

This was a cute paranormal series that was more keen on mystery more so then romance. It was very PG on the romance but the mystery factor kept everything interesting. This paranormal series are about battling races of Angels on earth. Fallen Angels from heaven are curse not to feel physical sensation on Earth, the only way Fallen Angels can have human sensation is to posses a race of fallen angel / human hybrid called the Nephilim. The Nephilim posses human sensation along with immortality and fallen angel strength. Fallen Angels seek out Nephilim when they turn 16 years old to make them swear an oath of fealty to the Angel so that 2 weeks out of the year the fallen angel can posses the Nephilim like a parasite and gain human sensation. Nora Grey didn't have much invested in the war until she procured a fallen angel boyfriend Patch and was made a pure blood Nephilim by her biological father that was the leader of the Nephilim army that Nora inherited upon his death. What is Nora to do?

very fun listening and credit worthy

    "Terrible"
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

    The story wasn't good.

Would you ever listen to anything by Becca Fitzpatrick again?

    No

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

    Less whining voice

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Finale?

The repetition in Nora's thought sequences was annoying. Why say something 20 times when just a couple of times will accentuate the idea?
