Two years ago, Emily's journey began. She learned the ancient magic of her Celtic ancestors, and became a modern Celtic Priestess. The golden torc, forged by faerie hands, is still wound around her arm, fused to her soul. She was entrusted with powerful magic and secret knowledge. But even a Priestess can feel desire - temptation - and the quest for love. Will passion entice Emily to use her sacred magic in a forbidden way? Can new love take root in a world of nightmares? And will her friendships survive Emily's Trial? The Journey Continues...

When I discovered Audible it was like discovering love :-) I love receiving codes and in return I post reviews. Wife, and mom of two,
I thought this book was written perfectly. I really found myself immersed in this story more so than I did the first book. Author Natalie Wright has outdone herself in writing this amazing and adventurous story. This story really shows us more about who Emily has become after her first adventure and it's not so good at the beginning. This story she will make you love and hate the characters and leaves us with one heck of a cliffhanger that left me biting my lip. If you've ever read any of my reviews then you know I hate cliffhangers. Natalie brings us more adventures, more depth to the plot, and the characters are what makes this story so great. This is a series that you'll love even if you're not a teen but a grown adult as I am.
Narrator, Chloe Golden has given another stellar performance. Her narration of Emily's Trial is perfect. She kept me engrossed to the story and glued to my seat from start to finish. Another amazing job! She did a great job with her range of voices and accents. I felt she really brought this story to life in such a way you feel as if you're with Emily on her trials. I highly recommend you give this story a listen. Overall, I give it a 5 star rating!

great book. i really liked it
Much darker storyline than 1st book. Good progression of the story and how teens deal with peer pressure and friends.
